do u mean like 2 inf squads working together or apc and inf??..if so i got some clan mates that we do this regularly...but sometimes its hard to coordinate other squads who have SLs not in my TS...but it sometimes work out well if one of my clan mates is CO

I have alot of teamspeak adresses which are all linked up to a PR Game server and/or clan.

But i dont have them all, which would be awesome, but as you all know, there are servers which have mumble voice (MRS ABC?) then its the guys with the Vent. Etc. etc.

Basicly what made me start this thread was that i usually ask people in TS to squadlead with me, but they so often say no (All the time) Except for a few.

I feel that very often clans will make their own squads and lock them, just to be leet, and eventhough PR is made so that it forces teamplay or else you die, most people just, die. Cause they dont want to cooperate with those "Blue guys"

What i am saying is that you should all train on squadleading togheter! All CLANS all teams, should as soon as there are two people in TS, go squadlead togheter.


I remember on Baracudda, i cant remember the server, me Killa and Rudd where all squadleaders and we were american. It was very cool, we had a comm protocol, like. Wicca to Rudd * 10 secs* Go ahead Wicca. Which was really awesome, and the tactics and aaaa! Was so frikkin NICE!

So! i urge you all to do this, not for yourself, not for your mother or father, BUT FOR PR!!!

I'm going to try squadleading more. I usually don't because I prefer the low responsibility role of a grunt and not having 5 guys (not to mention the rest of the team at times) depending on my leadership. But I think it's time to step up and start to pull some noobs in line. And, intersquad comm would be vastly improved if we had more commanders, whose role needs enhancement to make it attractive to more than 1% of players.

Go Commander! Commanders are great, but well... Yeah squads... Sometimes Squadleaders have their own mind... its sad.

The TACTEAMs you'll see on our server are usually a good mix of [T&T] and public players / community members.

In the past, we've tried to spread the experience by heading a TACTEAM each and communicate squad leader-to-squad leader via TeamSpeak, but we found half the players on the team would listen, and the rest would either go off ramboing despite being in a squad, or didn't speak English and thus couldn't understand what was being said and went off ramboing anyway.

Basically you might get two squads full of very good eggs, but the rest of the team will then decend into the TANK and A10 squads on Archer, Barracuda etc...

i myself am a bit bad in the sense that i'll pretty much always try to get in frosty's squad (cept that time on korengal where i sold my soul to rudd >.<)

but the game is so much more impressive when you have multiple well lead squads. several times on T&T theres been a TACTEAM + iGi Tac # a mix of both clans and pubbers. been pwnage

unfortunately for me though my damn soundcard wont let me run TS and VOIP at the same time in harmony. and VOIP > TS for general play

On the text point, if you keep it short and sweet and what you plan isn't too complex it can work wonders, simple stuff like telling one squad to attack on one flank, while you go up another, or that you'll cover another squad's advance.

Obviously voice comms is better for this, but text can help alot. You're not going to able to run a 2 man apc squad in conjunction with a 6 man inf squad in the back without the two SLs on TS together, but more basic co-operation can easily be acheived by text.

Mmm Text, i use text for Contact reports if there is no Commanders, and i also use it for squad to squad... But it doesnt work unless you nag... Or type in BIG LETTERS...

Well anywho, the point is, there are alot of ramboing people out there, if they dont follow orders yell at them... Simple.

I 2nd that, if you ever see a *RR* squad feel free to ask for cooperation. =)

Sometimes when we have enough clan members on the server we try to create two *RR* Squads, but its something hard to do, at least decently...

When leading pubbies, it might be a dounting and tirering taks... But if you yell enough and your hard mouthed you get it your way... Atleast i do... Eventhough somone might leave the squad...

So, if you think leading pubbies is hard, just yell.. And kick... And scream... Itll go around eventually....
