I've began to notice now that I can play BF2 on its highest settings (thankyou Santa), that the terrain, trees, bushes, etc... all look like **** compared to the other objects in the game.
It would be nice to get some 3D foliage. lol
Just my opinion.

Re: Natural Scenery
it would take alot of time to replace it all and i think there is a sertain limit of polygons on a map allowed by the bf2 engine. im not sure though. plus the ppl with crappy video cards like me before christmas (thankyou santa) i couldnt play the new maps on low with out low frame rate imagene that on all maps.

It would be too dense of an object to get any kinda lag out of the way. SorryRyder wrote:It would be nice to get some 3D foliage. lol

They don't look that bad, just take a look at Korengal and there's only so much you can acheive with the BF2 engine

^^ What he said, with the limits of the BF2 Engine, Korengal is the most realistic looking map I have ever played for BF2. It is also extremely pretty, so I think that's what your getting at

How about:
- The fickering white rings that appear around the base of trees and rocks when viewed from a long distance.
Picture example:

and
- Terrain morphing as you walk towards it
i.e. You see a sniper that is 'floating' just above the ground on a mountain, but as you approach them, the mountain morphs into it's actual dimensions
This has happened to me on Kashan Desert before. I think this is some sort of optimization feature in the BF2 engine. Possibly is affected by the video setting, 'Geometries'?
My video settings at the time of the screenshot:
- 1280x1024 resolution
- all video settings on 'high'
- 8X Anti aliasing & 16xQ enabled through NVIDIA control panel

Welcome to BF2 dude
Happens on any large map, sometimes smaller ones too. It's just BF2 being BF2, nothing on your end[or ours really]
