Not a lot of new models in 0.3 other than what has been shown already.
Also one thing to point out is that this readme information was put together with "PRMM 0.303b" as the changelog.
There is another build called "PRMM 0.304" wrapping up right now. It's mostly bugfixes, but we have made some changes based on play testing. Hopefully PRMM 0.304 will be the final build of PRMM 0.3x before we release.
Once we finalise and build PRMM 0.304 we'll post the updatd readme to the forums.
Examples of changes in 0.304:
- Engineers now get SMGs instead of shotguns (there is no shotgun in the PR world anymore; it may return later)
- To compensate for getting the SMG some other aspects of the Engineer class have been dialled back (less claymores, less at mines)
- Ammo Kits are quite different in behaviour now; they can only be thrown, they can't be picked up, rather you have to stand very near them to "take ammo" from them, they have a limited amount of ammunition supply and will dissapear when the supply is exhausted (they work a lot more like small supply crates now). We are working on seeing if we can force them to only reload certain kinds of ammo, but that might not make 0.304
- There are a couple of new maps beyond the ones already mentioned

ah no, why remove the shotguns??? They are my favorite on tight city maps and I loved the slug you guys added. It seems like a real shame
Also, what SMG's do the MEC and Chinese get? If it's back to the standard vanilla SMG's then I'd rather have a pistol TBH.
Please don't take this as a moan cause it's not, I'm simply wondering why change something that ain't broken?

Shotguns may come back at a later date, let's see how ppl like this. I'll be surprised if most people don't prefer this, although the SMG are still quite weak in "stopping power".
SMG for Chinese and MEC is the same SMG that used to be on the AT Class, Type 85 for Chinese and Bizon for MEC iirc.

I suppose shotguns don't really feature in modern warfare do they!?
I take it you will be 'tweaking' the SMG's like you did with the assault rifles? I hated them in vanilla cause you would unload half a clip into a prone PKM'er but he'd still have time to turn and kill you. I guess cause PR is more realistic (ie 1 head shot or 2-3 body shots) then the SMG's might be a bit more effective (like 1 head shot and 3-4 body shots).
There's something really crumby about the Chinese SMG tho, looks like a pea-shooter! Surely China has something better they could use, even an Uzi would do.
I never really understood how a guy could carry 5 mines and a shotgun, surely he could carry a carbine just as easy then? What's the weight difference between an SMG and a carbine? Have you though about giving Engineer engineers an M4 and AK74? Would this unbalance things?

answering your question however, I believe it just packs an extra punch, and has a larger blast/damage radius. So run like hell when you place it

We will be doing some stuff with FX in a future release, but for 0.3 the C4 explosion and SLAM explosion are the same. We simply ran outta time and need to make sure we test the performance implications of some of the fx changes we want to make quite significantly.kristofer wrote:Will the extra strong C4 come with a bigger visual explosion or will it just pack extra damage?
