i sort of see where you are coming form but i really feel it would degrade teamwork and that is not good, having a couple of random go off on there own, on a "special" mission.
HOWEVER as you rightly said only on some, these could be where certain objects that support the enemy such as an airfiled or command post cna be destroyed, having a drmatic impact on the battle! - like it ahh.
P.S GRAET IDEA - destroy airfields by blowing a hole in runway!!!!!!!!

o, i thought you meant maps where we had all the normal classes but with an extra spec class that had certain comided abilities, very similar to presnet one but updated slighlty. And possilbly with a couple a choices of weapons load out.
a complete SF map would be strange even if properly considered i think it would require 1 sf team and 1 normal teams, What would be diff between present class and SF ones, you would end up handing very similar weapons and abilities out in the end - again could be a waste of effort.

I really don't like the idea of having a spec ops only team to simulate a special operations force. Teams of SOF operators are going to be armed with more than assault rifles and C4.

Well, seeing as Special Operations team's are usualy backed up by infnatry, such as Rangers for Delta, or Marines/Paras/RAF Regt for the SAS, then why not create maps that have infantry based on these, then have the Spec Ops class and Sniper kits replaced to represent Delta/SAS.

America was a tad late into the First World War. They redeemed themself's and came in slightly sooner in the Second. Now they seem determined to start the Third.

I don't know why everyone's moaning about Spec Ops. Very few military operations take place without some behind enemy lines infiltration. It adds to the fun of the battle another dimension. Frontline battles get tedious after a while when the line's just getting pushed back and forth. Sneaking up the river in a RHIB, crawling up the ladder into the facility then taking it from behind adds a new dimension to gameplay, and a situation the enemy has to adapt to. People need to think three dimensionally, otherwise they'll be caught off guard by the parachuting spec ops agents sneaking up on the vehicles and so on. This sort of thing isn't possible with the UAV and scan features in play, and now PR has taken these away I've started to be able to pull off these cool tactics, and now you want to do away with them? For the first time scenery and advances tactics are being used advantageously, I think we should stick with them!
