Thank You to the Devs of PRMM

Post by Maj._Jacob »

You folks are friggin incredible. Every time I play PRMM, I think "And finally my $50 is put to good use". Where Vanilla BF2 failed, you have succeeded. You have rebuilt a malfunctioning, badly designed game and turned it into something that is immersive and highly enjoyable to play. The weapon sounds in .25 are also a major improvement.

Thanks, folks.

BTW, did you guys ever consider going private and turning this into a full-out game?

I hope they don't go private at least not until 1.0. Oh if you like it tell your freinds.

Agreed.

A great mod isn't just about the quality of the coding or the impressivness of the graphics... it's about the attitude of the developers.

I've not been here long - but from what I've seen, I am extremely impressed. The Dev's here and their attitude put EA to shame.

Nice one lads.

thanks gentlemen. It's always nice to see that the community thinks we are doing a good job here at PR. I'd be very worried if you guys and gals hated us!! :D

Although I have been a Dev for a short time, I can agree that the team is organised to a high degree, which in turn ensures an efficient turnaround for taskings, no matter what that may be. The Devs are highly committed to the task ahead. The ultimate goal of getting a professional standard release to you, the community. No matter if it's PRMM or PR 1.0 and beyond. We like to pride ourselves on the fact that we listen to you guys. The community is the heart and soul of a mod.

Thanks again for the comments :)

Of course, one of the properties of a good DEV team is proper spelling. Therefore, I would like to remark to Gaz that (unless Northern Ireland has a different official spelling from the rest of the UK) 'soul' is (in this meaning) spelled like that, and not as 'sole'. Thank you. :p

Sorry to be an ***.

And as sort-of-DEV I'd like to thank the community for their great support and patience! We couldn't do our jobs without you!

I upgarded to a new games PC solely for BF2 in February. While I enjoyed it at first, the little things really turned me off the game. Things like PKM divers, tank whores, head-shots that seemed to do nothing, joining a squad only to find all 5 members where busy capping seperate flags etc, all took the shine off the game. I was so disappointed as it could have been the complete warfare experience if EA/Dice had got their act together. Also, paying £30 for the game plus £15 for SF and £5 for EF really pee'd me off.

Then I discovered PRMM and haven't played vanilla since, in fact the only icon on my desktop is PRMM!!! You guys do a great job and this is a great forum. We are always trying to promote your mod over at 50klicks and when v0.3 comes out there should be loads of us playing. Keep up the great work.

Embarrased to say i only played PRMM for the first time at the weekend. :o ops:

Decided to create a profile on our server to test in out. Next thing i know people are joining me on TS asking where they can get the mod, and then joining me on the server. 8)

So anyway after playing for 10 hours solid, and having to explain to people that i only set it up for a quick test and the settings were'nt quite right, i am eagerly awaiting the new release. The Oasis and Steel Thunder maps are awsome, so nice to sneak around knowing that the only way other players can see you is with there eyes ( Shock horror ).

Its what BF2 should have been, no running around like headless chickens, actual defending of flags and proper teamwork. Oh yeah, and most of the people who joined our server were very friendly and played the game in a good spirit ( Helping out team mates etc ).

Top work fella's.

Yes they certainly deserve alittle praise. But not too much they need to work hard on the new version and can't be distracted by serenades, marriage proposals and other dedications of eternal love.
