You won't find BTR-90s outside of Russia, they're not made for export. Hence their removal from the MEC.Tannhauser wrote:On about those asking if it is the *main* APC for MEC ; Factions (like IRL) are not restricted to have only one type of *main* APC. So seeing MEC having imported BTRs (60-80 or 90) and BMP-3s is fine for me.
I suppose there are chances of seeing a large combined ops map with Russian Forces that would have BTR-90's, and BMP-3's in the future (0.9?). Even tho Russian doctrine is to send the older stuff first... For simulations sake?![]()

****, ok! So no more BTR90 in PR for now, unless a few have made it in Fools road? eh. That means Jabal al Burj will be fit with either BMPs or older BTR exports..[R-DEV]Masaq wrote:You won't find BTR-90s outside of Russia, they're made for export. Hence their removal from the MEC.
Sorry, didn't know about 90 not being exported.

Lol, np. In time, the BTR-80 should be plenty man enough for the job to help the BMP-3 out

Oxymoron right there?[R-DEV]Masaq wrote:You won't find BTR-90s outside of Russia, they're made for export. .
If they're made for export, then you ought to be able to find them outside of Russia?
I'm confused.

Anyways, the BMP-3 seems a tad bit overpowered, but I believe that can be balanced out by removing the number of MEC tanks, etc.

@WIKIPEDIA:
Currently, the BTR-90 is in service only with the Russian military. A small number of vehicles are used by troops under the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The vehicle is available for export. However, no foreign militaries have purchased it, and the Russian military has not yet shown interest in replacing its existing BTR APCs with the new BTR-90. Although Serbia's military has shown interest in obtaining 200 BTR-90's.

It still goes down from AT and Sabot, it just packs more firepower now, no need to remove anything...

Of course, why would they? They've got BTR-80A's for christ sake...Russian military has not yet shown interest in replacing its existing BTR APCs with the new BTR-90

Re: [Vehicle] BMP-3
This is such an awesome update
I'm glad that they've got that speed boost (or so it seems), making it a more efficient transport. And nobody should say it's overpowered, because unless they've decreased the time delay between switching rounds, it won't actually be able to fire the 30mm and AT10/100mm Frag/whatever at the same time.

Yes. I'm curious as to what other maps we will see this thing rumble on! Will it replace the BTR-90 on my beloved Muttrah City?Blakeman wrote:Now I want to know what maps this beast is going to be on besides Kashan.
*kind of off topic* Will the U.S. LAV get any changes? Right now it seems kind of nerfed according to some resources. ( I know I shouldn't use Wikipedia as a resource but...) LAV-25 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The LAV-AT with the TOW would certainly add a new dynamic to 1-2 maps!

Re: [Vehicle] BMP-3
The Bradley does fill the role with the TOW, and there are far fewer LAV-ATs than normal LAV-25s. From the first, # of LAV-ATs
Compared to the number of LAV-25s in the 1980s:Marine Corps Inventory: 95
Unit Replacement Cost: $1,252,000
This left the US Marine Corps alone in ordering no fewer than 758 units for delivery slated between 1983 and 1987. After production had completed, the LAV-25 was subsequently added to the inventory of the Canadian Armed Forces in 1993 to which 203 were produced as the LAV-25 "Coyote" in the primary form of a battlefield reconnaissance vehicle.

STUPID edit.
Will there be any delay between switching from 100 mm/AT10 to 30 AP/30 HE?
