I missed a "not"'[R-COM wrote:Outlawz;895060']Oxymoron right there?
If they're made for export, then you ought to be able to find them outside of Russia?
I'm confused.

Yes,
8 second delay for switching to 100mm Frag SHells
1 second delay for switching to 30mm (AP or HE-I)

Watched the vid for the 2nd time. I found something odd.
When the AT10 missile was fired, the smoke tail started not from the turret, but above the turret.
It's at 0:37.

[quote=""'[R-DEV"]Jaymz;895105']Of course, why would they? They've got BTR-80A's for christ sake...
[/quote]
They got other things like BMD and older bmp - lot's of hardware in "storage" too.
[quote="sakils2""]Nobody answered my question. So, here it goes again.
I just saw a video. As you can see, the small cannon shoots 30 mm. In this video the big cannon shoots 100 mm. My question is. Will there be any delay between switching from 100 mm/AT10 and 30 AP/30 HE?[/quote]
Another interesting things is it can shoot "downwards" as well,no need to "angle it".
It seems like we won't be able to fire both the 100mm and 30mm at the same time
like we could "originally".

This could be turned into a full 3 man crew:
Driver/Gunner 30mm/Gunner100mm +bow machine guns for the hitchhikers.
I don't know if Commander can take over the weapons similar to the tanks.
P.S.
What about the "zoom" is it single, double or triple ?

It takes 4-5 seconds to reload the ATGM (fire 1 auto reload 4-5sec fire again)'[R-DEV wrote:Jaymz;895653']Yes,

Re: [Vehicle] BMP-3
Are you suggesting:
Two men operating different weapons both controlling turret movement? Or two men operating different weapons, with only one of them controlling turret movement?
Either way, it doesn't sound like a recipe for great sucess. Imagine the frustration - you're the 30mm autocannon gunner, but the 100mm guy has control of the turret. He's busy popping away at a cluster of infantry a few hundred meters away, but you've just seen a tank hove into view... but you can't turn the turret to open fire, so you gotta sit and watch whilst the sabot comes in and hits you.

Re: [Vehicle] BMP-3
So with the improvements made on the BMP-3, I assume that the BTR-90 will not be seen in .85?

Re: [Vehicle] BMP-3
Correct, IIRC. The BMP-3 will be in-game, coupled with the BTR-60 as a placeholder for the BTR-80.

Re: [Vehicle] BMP-3
so, the plan is to give both MEC and RUSSIA the BTR-80 in future?
i was hoping for a own APC for the MEC (perhaps let them keep the BTR-60 and give the BTR-80 only to russia ?

Re: [Vehicle] BMP-3
What about the BMP? That would be a good super-APC that the opposing force can be balanced against...or not.

USMC does NOT have TOWs.

I never said that or implied it. But USA has Bradleys with 'em, and the BMP 3 is only on Kashan atm, as well as the Bradley.jbgeezer wrote:USMC does NOT have TOWs.
True, I did switch from the BTR 90 in Muttrah, which features the USMC, to the BMP 3 and Bradley on Kashan, but you could've recognized what I implied.

Re: [Vehicle] BMP-3
Although the USMC does not have TOWs on their LAV-25s (that I know of personally) there is a turret made for the LAV-25 that is a specialist TOW launcher.jbgeezer wrote:USMC does NOT have TOWs.
The USMC does have TOW Humvees though and I would like to see them used more than just the Qwai map.

Re: [Vehicle] BMP-3
You mean that the US are the only oes that have TOWs? The video showcases the Russian equivalent of the TOW - 9M117.McLuv wrote: Besides, which side has got those TOWs?![]()
But I'm sure that people who are complaining about the so called "overpoweredness" of this vehicle are those that have forgotten that it won't really replace the BTR90 as the main APC of the MEC. Think about it as an equivalent of the US Army Bradley (as if that thing ain't "overpowered"). Hopefully MEC will get the BTR-60 in 0.85, a vehicle that (just as the US Army Stryker) is more of a designated Personell Carrier rather than a wagon of death... MEC and Us Army (and Russians, probably) will have "overpowered" IFVs because their designated APCs lack the firepower of the Chinese WZ551, USMC Lav-25 and British Warrior. I think it's a good way of balancing things out...
