Re: [Model] Type 89
Type 64 for Medic doesn't convince me... But hey... everything else looks pretty good.
As for different optics I apologize as I had thought that most other factiosn only had one kind of scope in their weapons. ^^;
Are we almost set on what's going to be the weapons layout?

The new loadouts look good. I like the idea of having both RDS and 7.62 rounds to balance out the fact that we only have one scoped kit
Asymmetrical balance ftw

Re: [Model] Type 89
Only one scoped kit?
Well that's all because we decided to leave the AA, AT and Grenadier kits with aimpoints rather than scopes, while all other actual factions carry scopes..

Re: [Model] Type 89
WOW, alot has been posted since i was on this morning.
Ok so as i understand the reason that there are so many variants is because the soldiers in JDF have to buy there own accessories. I notice my models are a bit messy on the inside I have cleared up alot of it but there is some wasated polys are still there. Has everyone forgot about the Automatic Rifleman or will JDF not have one.
Pretty Much Done:
Type 89
Type 89F(Folding Stock)
MD33
Aimpoint ComPM2
To Do:
Type 89 Magazine [X]
Type 89 Low Poly Rail Systems [X]
Type 89 UGL [X]
Type 89 Foregrip [X]
Aimpoint ComPM4 [X]
Type 64+Scope for DM
Textures(I dont really have much experience with that. Meening hopefuly someone with more exp in that department will take it up or show me how to do it.)
Anthing else i cant think of

The JGSDF Auto. rifleman will have the minimi already ingame.
Do you know how to UV map? If yo do I could give the textures a shot.

What do you need to make the textures, i'll see what I can do after that.Rambo Hunter wrote:Do you know how to UV map? If yo do I could give the textures a shot.
Does the Grenadier have folding or fixed stock?

Fixed. Folding stock would be better suited for the Mountaineer (wtf is a mountaineer?) or SF/airborne types.

Re: [Model] Type 89
In PR 0.8, the Mountaineer kit is simply an Engineer with a Grapple-Hook replacing the Engineer anti-tank mine. They are the exact same class otherwise and one replaces the other depending on the map : Kashan, Qinling, Ejod, etc = Engineer/ Ramiel, Al Basrah, Korengal, Op.Archer, etc = Mountaineer.sekiryu wrote:Fixed. Hence why it's VERY akward/bad to give those kits different weapons and items because they encompass the same job except one has mines and other has grapple hook to climb up wall.
So... no folding stock IMO.
Definition of mountaineer in PR 0.85 will probably change or even disapear with the upcoming changes that everyone seems to predict. I recommend y'all stick with the PR 0.8 until .85 comes out.
As for Grenadier having a folding stock, maybe the 1st AB, but I reaaallly don't know about any other regular infantry using paras, who'd use em outside paradropped ops and why?

Nice work so far, but don't put in too much time into the components we have already like the M203, of which you can take off our current models when the time comes.

Re: [Model] Type 89
The scope attaches on a side mount, much like an AK. Make the charging handle just a little bit thicker.
