tank view
we all know know that if you turn the turet around on a tank it blocks the view of the driver well i was thinking taking the view down to below the turet like in the previous versions and if you press F you can change it back to parascope view so the guy maning the .50 cal can watch the tanks rear for suicide cars and what not.

Re: tank view
Personally I wouldn't mind if the driver only had the 'three windows' view while driving as well. This would make it more realistic with APCs and tanks since the view is very limited inside a real vehicle of such types.

Re: tank view
True, but the F1 position in PR is both driver and commander, hence the smoke launcher, zoom and 360 view.Blakeman wrote:Personally I wouldn't mind if the driver only had the 'three windows' view while driving as well. No, ok, when turret is looking at the rear it temporary causes problem but I prefer having my camera on top one hundred times to having it on the front like APC...

Re: tank view
There could be 2 views as thread starter says. But IMO it was way cooler to be driver down below back then.

Re: tank view
Is it realistic that the driver sees from a camera on the top of the tank? Isnt he only looking through perscopes where he sit?

Re: tank view
I thought that present "driver view" is a tank commander view. The tank commander tells the driver where to go and that's why you can drive a tank when beeing a tank commander
RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!!!
Do not post stupid suggestions just because you had a bad round in PR

Re: tank view
hey all...i know nothing about tanks either in pr or IRL but ive noticed the phenomenon of which you discuss while driving on the very few occasions i have been part of a tank crew (I R grunt) ...does the turret not block the drivers view IRL when its is pointed backwards? Why is not the 50 cal gunner already watching your 6...i mean your in a tank damn it

Re: tank view
The simplest solution I can think of (in particular for PR's own models like the Challenger) is to permanently close the commander hatch which can be done on all the tanks as it is a child object and replace the commander 50 cal with a remote weapon station
