There are like 3 or 4 mods released today! Paintball (uh? i dont know why you would play this?) BF1918 (which ive been interested in) Operation Peacekeeper (Which someone wrote about) if i wasnt busy playing the test build id like to DL these mods and give them a try, just see if there is anything in them that could/should be incorporated into PR. And I really wanna fly those airplanes in 1918!

Correction: 403 :p

Paintball looks like it should be a laugh, and bf1918 is always good. Especially seeing as there's a new release for bf1942 as well :)

OPK is good. Just needs some time spent ironing out the bugs and imbalances.
Love the G22 sniper. That's a man's gun.

Paintball had some fun features, only 1 type of gun though, all in all a fun little mod if your into paintball. But I get MAJOR lag when I try to play, Im talking an average of 10-15 FPS :( so I cant play online

paintball was ok. Statics were cool and very close to real speedball play. only problem is the mod looks quickly put together and it was laggy and crappy skins. otherwise fun.

This is a really good aviators mod for the flyers among you, it was created for a competition that is now over and proved to be very popular among the flyers so the server has been left up and running.
Bassically its the Wake Island map, with 6 aircraft carriers each carrying 4 planes and 4 choppers. You spawn as a medic, no weopons of any kind except for your plane. The ground details of the island are vague, but then this is a flyers mod. Enjoy.

This is the link to the mod. "CLICK ME" . Its an auto installer so just run it from your desktop and it will install itself to BF2's mod folder.

As far as I am aware there is only one current server operating this mod and is as follows. IP : 64.34.43.82 Port : 16567 no password. This mod cannot unfortunately be played in singleplayer mode, however I do think it can be played through a LAN connection.

Have fun soldiers.

BTW... once you have installed the mod just input the above server details into the "Connect to IP" option on the multiplayer page in standard BF2 it will auto find the mod.

Operatin Peacekeeper looks brilliant. The maps are amazing, it runs pretty smoothly on my old machine.

The gameply is just too fast for my taste.

you should seriously consider making a reality mod for Operation Peacekeeper. It would rock so much!

It aint very good. The guy who made it has done some nice skins yes, but hes complety buggered up the map. HAs not inlcuded the lowdetail maps, has not done any new lightmaps for the new carrers/objects. Its really not very professional...

Thats fair comment, but the map details are fairly unimportant in the sense that you spawn in a plane, take off and fight in the air untill you get shot down. I guess the developer didnt see the need to go to great lengths to work on the visual detail of the ground seeing as the map was only made to run a competition in the skies and was not intended to be online for long.
I know little about building these mods if nothing at all so can not and shall not comment on its profesionalism but if you just want to jump into a plane and get in the air against others online then it is, I found, a very enjoyable little mod.

I enjoyed BF1918, but was very buggy I think. I will wait for the full release.

OPK has nice everything, but would already be much better if it had AAS I think. Was way too chaotic gameplay.

Two weeks ago I downloaded the Battleracer mod and it's fun as hell. I recommend trying it!

1/2 of what he missed out was a simpal copy and paste job. I can forgive him arround abouts for not doing the lightmaps as he would have had to redo every singal object on the map, but there where not that manny so it only should have took him 5hrs on final, but he could have done it on medium very quickly.

The maps in OPK are the best I've seen sofar for Battlefiled 2 + Mods. They feel very realistic, the forested areas and the typical farmer fields and chaotic town center. All very authentic.

The weapons aren't that bad certainly alot better than in vanilla, 2-3 hits are usually enough to kill someone and vehicles finally come abit closer to their real speeds, the fact that the maps are so big makes it necessary though. Haven't tried any of the air assets. And finally playing without annoying commanders is great.
