Not alot of players know this about FO's...

Post by WeeGeez »

Radios in enemy Firebases and Bunkers [FO's] take only two Hits with the knife to disable that spawn point for the enemy team. Not three, which is what you see most people doing these rounds.

From what I have witnessed, most players Jab it 3 times, causing the FO to collapse on top of them, reducing their health.

Where as if they stabbed it only twice, it disables the spawn out-right (the white spawn dot on the enemy spawn-map turns red) and the FO does not collapse right away, giving the player time to retreat away from the FO for when it does collapse (a period of around 10seconds)

I think this simple mistake happens because most players see the FO still standing after the second stab and think that it is still a valid spawn location...

So yeh, just a wee Pointer. :D

-You've got that one wrong. Three stabs and it will start losing health until it collapses after 5-10 second(The amount needed to disable spawn is two though I think), if you knife it 4 time it will collapse instantly.

Im very sure that 3 stabs will make it collapse right away, twice and you will have 5 or so sec to get out.

WeeGeez has it right. 2 stabs initiates a bleed.

As I read within the dev's posts and have confirmed ingame countless times, it is:
2 stabs = disabled and destroyed in about a minute
3 stabs = disabled and destroyed in about 10 seconds
4 stabs = instantly destroyed + enjoy having half your health left

2 stabs disables and begins bleed, 3 stabs accelerates this process (if FO is already damage danger of collapse, but if on full health at start = perfectly safe) 4 stabs is guarenteed collapse.

1 LAT hit = 2-3 stabs

1 HAT hit = 100stabs approx :D

3 stabs is the optimum number as it disables the spawn and collapses it at the fastest rate without it instantly falling in on top of you.

Debends on the situation, if i see a firebase and noone around i stab it twice. If i have enemys around me i stab 3 times.

As allready stated multiple times 3 will not crash the FB on you if it's in full health.

Rudd got it right. A lot of the time, firebases are already damaged, in which case three stabs can bring the whole shebang on top of your head. An undisturbed firebase can take three stabs without instantly exploding, though. I've personally done it countless times, as I always use three stabs.

It takes long enough after three stabs, too. Many times I've stabbed the radio three times, and then ran away, only to have one of my squadmates run up to it, wondering if I did it right. This usually results in some injuries to the player who didn't have enough faith in his squad's competence :P

Ok guys

2 stabs WILL make the FO bleed but so will 3 stabs as stated earlier. The times till if falls down is less on the 3 stabs.

The reason why the FO falls on you when you stab it 3 times is that the FO has been dmg to a certain point where it wont bleed. (like a soldier) So now it takes less stabs to get it too a bleed and less stabs to demolish immediatly.

3 stabs ftw.

btw, putting slams on the firebase (to finish the base) and stabbing it to collaps will make the slams explode and kill you.
