what hapend to the stationary at-4?

what has happend to the stationary at-4... i remember it when i started playing.... i think.. but the map i played that on to were removed..... just wondering why its gone?

Um.. stationary AT4?
Are you sure you are talking about the right weapon here? Because the AT4 is a light portable AT weapon, it doesnt come in any stationary variant.

you see the TOWs around still; e.g. Jabal

they are primary to help counter baserape ingame, and too right, they were annoying

but why are they not on any of the newer maps?
and is there any thought of making them a depoloible thing like the 50? to help defend... or would it be abused?

Its on pretty much all maps that have heavy vehicles, but since it's so powerful, it's only used for base defence(TOW hummve excluded).

see TOW base or suchlike search words and you will see the the TOW is a suggested deployable that is not well received.

The reasons are 1) its used as artillery, 2) on maps with tanks there are generally plenty of AT weapons and even some TOW armed APCs. 3) the inability to reload or move the TOW is pretty unrealistic.
