PRSP server files sitrep?

Post by Rudd »

I don't wanna rush you guys, really I don't.

I've had an incredible amount of fun with the bots and with bot armies against my human comrades on hamachi.

And we in iGi are definately interested in hosting a dedicated PRSP server.

How is it going, or is it going at all?

Knowledge that you are still working on it is good enough for me at least.

Respectfully yours,

Rudd

I have to say that Death Dealers Squad would be very interested in hosting a cooperative dedicated server as well, as the servers are never any fun when they're empty ;-)

Please keep us posted!

is it not possible to use the bf2 dedicated server app to do this? I see the maps for prsp and the coop mode, but I have yet to get people to handshake with the server. Still trying to muddle through the actual ports I need to forward on my router.

bf2 has a dedicated server app that lets you configure port, ip, and maps and stuff. it even has prsp_08 coop maps as an option to choose. I'm not sure if its working for prsp yet though as I can't get someone to handshake yet on my vanilla bf2.

update:
I have it working using the built in dedicated server app and letting the thing use my interal IP and just rely on my router to port forward. I cannot get the coop to balance the bots though. No matter what setting I tweak it puts 32 players on team 1 and 9 on team 2. autobalance is off, and both team balance %'s are set to 20.
