PR Tracers look like lasorz?

Post by cyberzomby »

Not really! They look real! Just look at this footage from: America Automatic!

http://vimeo.com/2905799
(no audio because of problems with my capture program)

Tracers look really cool at night. When I first started playing PR (a year or two ago) I was "shocked" by the green tracers. I thought: WTF! Green tracers? They look more like lazers to me.

As I was just watching the documentary I saw this part, captured it and uploaded it for the rest. Its just a cool piece :)

Sorry mods if its in the wrong section

Its all down to a dedicated team of Military Advisors, and what sets us apart as a Mod ;-)

Yup! Its just 'cause of those "damn" movies that you think otherwise first because thats what you have been thought by Hollywood! Same as those muzzle flashes

Maybe tracers ingame could be a little bit smaller.

They look like the same to me comparing the ingame tracers and video tracers. Only thing is you can see them better during the night ofcourse like he pointed out.

we need an urban & jungle night map SOOO bad! One of each would be a big plus for the mod.

(still cant believe Bi Ming is day!)

Also I noticed from the video that the green tracers are much more visible than the red ones. I guess this has to do with the different chemical used.

Food for thought: does it actually looks like this when you see it ? I know digital cameras/recorder tend to be subject to some sort of blooming effect when used at night. (Sorry if it's not the exact term, English is not my mother tongue).

Because of that thinking I put it up here :) Just some food for thought on the current tracers. Altough not a high prioritie or none at all (cause they are fine)

On Bi Ming night they seemed noticeable enough mainly because its dark and they retained the same "thickness/brightness" ( I think )

Though when colored tracers first came in PR they truly were lasers, I'm not even joking - they had to reduce the visual appearance of them because it was star wars in this one rolling duststorm map I can't quite remember lol

The tracer effect in this game is by far the best ive seen in a video game. Arma tracers DO look like lazorz lol. but the DEV team got them right. DONT TAKE THEM OUT OF THE GAME!!!!!!!
