Great, but i'm annoyed about how servers throwed up variation by only having kozelsk and falluja into their rotation, i mean, there's more new content then just those new maps :-(

Only annoyance so far is that the collaborator spawn time is still insanely high, so no-one plays it, again.

Other than that it plays real nice, lots of small changes that can't really be quantified until you play it, it feels much more polished and streamlined, love the new HUD icons.

I just wish someone would put on some combined arms maps so I can have a true PR experience.

i combined GB and USMC forces once, i made a small mod of it in the community mod but i couldnt make a map as my PC decided to fail on me, it wasnt that good of an idea anyway :p

Combined arms means combining AIR, GROUND and SEA assets. Doesn't mean combining armies.

First impressions are good.

Overall it's a very great patch. I like the speedup animations and more functional LMG.

Grenade traps ARE a very tk heavily but the adjustment face will probably fix it.

Transport system works pretty nice. I've only lost on most maps but it seems that APC's really make or break a team on some maps. Lost Fools Road since our apc's kept getting killed by tanks.

Russians HAT is rpg-7 for some reason, i really don't understand why. It makes it very hard to counter Tanks on fools road. APC's get one shotted by em so how are we supposed to stand up against em? Russians really seem like a very slightly improved version of Chechnya Rebels.

Mesitas cap-zone is now HUGE. I understand the logic for it (Making it about controlling an area instead of a tiny flag), but gameplay was so-so on my first round (battles felt unfocused and logistics hit a snag with the "no road westwards" feature.)

Umm, has it been increased again? Before the Storage Bunker can be held from old "West tower" or even more east from that, and the Munitions plant from W&S of "East Tower". Its pretty tough thing to hunt all the enemies down from a very big area I agree, but it's a good map anyway.

I played on mestia tonight and it was all close in fighting. Centralized at storage the entire game, IN the building. Fools road looks like the map for spread out firefights and ambushes. Overall I like the patch. Russian forces are a bit of a joke, but fun to play. Only big thing is iron sights/aimpoint are more accurate than scopes. But I like it cause I prefer iron sights.

first taste very nice, 4 hours of play and very enjoyable. Nice to feel that you shots hit the targets. Warning don't pickup enemy kits unless you want to be TK'ed :)

Yes, it's annoying. I was playing last night with friends/family and my brother was spawning as a collaborator. He consistently had a respawn time of over 100 seconds--he seriously spent more time waiting to respawn than he did actually playing. After about 30 minutes of this he abruptly shut off the computer and angrily marched to his room. That led to a really bad vibe and no one really wanted to play anymore; we called an early night and I went to bed wondering what went wrong.

By the way, he was the only collaborator I knew of on our team.

The HAT is RPG-7 with Tandem warhead, so it does more damage than the regular RPG. Btw, it's just a placeholder for the upcoming RPG-29. L96 is also a placeholder, aswell as MR-444 IIRC... Read that this was only supposed to be a "light" release of the ruskies. In the future they will get more vehicles (choppers, jets, more tanks, more modern APCs), so that's why they feel like nothing more than a "slight improvement" of the Militia. A BMP-3 would be nice on Fools Road, though.

I still don't understand why the MEC have the BMP-3 and the Russians, the creators of the vehicle, do not.

ahahhah you dont know how world economic works ;) now russia try to sell to india new latest fight jets, the Russian air force dont have that latest jets now military corporations dont work for countries they work for that ho have more money ;)
