or?
Still, this could be awesome.
I agree. I think we need more urban maps based somewhere besides the middle east. Pyongyang or seoul would not only be awesome, but pretty realistic imo.Hresvelgr wrote:OK, but I'd still like them to be more reminiscent of the Russians when it comes to infantry, but I'm fine with giving them older vehicles. I'm also unsure as to how often the SKS is really used in their army. That said, there has got to be a Seoul/Pyongyang map. Seoul would be cool because it'd be the first really major city in PR, and Pyongyang because it's Pyongyang.
The area here is slightly urban. It would be good for something like Kashan, but it's a little more urban. There are several villages dotting the area. Remember, very urban maps are taxing on the computer.aperson444 wrote:I have several ideas for maps. One of such is a battle on the coast of North Korea.. Of course there will be a battle on the DMZ, but his is different. It is mainly urban warfare, and takes place near a village called Ijin-dong.
It would be a mostly amphibious attack. Possibly USMC vs North Korea, or South Korea vs North Korea. The area itself is very nice. There are 2 nice bays where a carrier or a ship could stand. Across Anna Bay is a North Korean army base. This would mean that the area is more heavily guarded than if there as no base nearby. There is a missile base to the north near a lake called Pon-p'o. There are a few small farm villages.
Does the KPA widely field optics? PSO-1s? POSP? Or some Chinese optic? I don't think it would make sense for them to have 1P29s...Hresvelgr wrote:Considering the .85 updates should the KPA get optics on their AK-74s to be fair? I think they should be a step between Militia and truely conventional armies so I think so. Give 'em optics and camo, and old vehicles to balance it out. Besides, a PR MiG-21 would be cool.
All three of those rifles were made for export to Western civilian markets.162eRI wrote:

would have to agree with him here. theres a better chance of china invading nk these days.STORM-Mama wrote:The Chinese would not support the North Koreans. The current Chinese government is not the same one as the one under Mao - they do not care about spreading the words of communism anymore, but doing the things that are best for themselves and the country as a whole. Supporting an under-developed and low-tech army like the KPA in a war against the US-backed south korea would not really be good for the Chinese nation...
Saying that China would support the NKjust because "they did it during the Korean war" is like saying that Germany would invade Poland because they did it in WW2.Governments and countries change, China is not an exception.
Radical communist as opposed to... what? I know China doesn't have the same commitment to communist ideals as, say, back in Mao's day, but even so, China is hardly a liberal-democracy.aperson444 wrote:A radical communist uprising in China is not a very unrealistic thught. If this happened, then NK and China would be allies. And remember, China will sell just about anything for money.
