Removing grenade traps
Couldn't find this in the guide so I'm posting here. Does anyone know how to remove insurgent grenade traps? They seem to be quite common and it's annoying to have them completely block off an area. Will the combat engie's wrench work? Do you need to approach it from the prone position?

Re: Removing grenade traps
I was told to use the wrench
grenades do not work on them...seems they are interphasic to all things except wrenches and legs

If you prone, you cant set them off. So you dont have to remove them. Just prone.

Go prone and crawl past them.

Is that meant to reflect a realistic action? Surely crouching would have been better

You can also jump over them.

I don't think they picked prone because of the action. More of the movement speed, to make you move as gingerly as possibleDr2B Rudd wrote:Is that meant to reflect a realistic action? Surely crouching would have been better

Cause we throw bombs on it, throw bombs on it. Just smash something, yeah mosh for me.

iirc the BF2 engine doesn't see a difference between standing and crouching for things like this.

Wish there was a way to set them off intentionally and safely. I have before laid a badly placed trap that was visible when you walked up to the door but the Marines just stood outside of it cause I would fire a few rounds through the doorway sot hey couldn't crawl past it.
