Unable to change language

I've been trying to use my own localization files in PR (read: language), I've copied the 'english' folder and renamed it as well as translated most of the strings in it and went to the python folder and opened realityconfig_common file and changed the line there to use my folder instead of default, which is English, yet it doesn't work in-game.

I assume this has something to do with the realitylocalization file in the same python folder, which is locked down and coded so you can't edit it.

Help?
