Scoreboard Bugged?

I have noticed some strange scoreboard behaviour since the latest release. Some examples:

1. I booted up at the weekend, started PR and joined a server. I then joined a squad and checked the scoreboard and noticed I had 3 points and 1 kill and 1 death before I had even done anything at all.

2. On a different day and server my squad set up a ambush on Kozelsk and waited. I heard a vehicle and whipped out my RPG. It was a supply truck with a driver and passenger. I destroyed it killing both inside but never got the 2 points on my kill score. We stayed around there for at least 5 minutes and did not see any more enemy so there was no chance of them being revived.

3. Yesterday playing Fallujah West on entering a squad I was asked to drive an APC and another squad mate was asked to gun. For 15 minutes we supported the squad, dropped them off near caches, covered them from distance and picked them up when the cache was destroyed. My score was mounting nicely but noticed that I also had 3 kills...as driver?

These are a few examples I can remember but I have had more occasions where kills and deaths have not been added plus a score on entering a server before even doing anything. I play to win for my team not a personal score but as this goes towards ticket bleed ect I think it is worth mentioning.

Anyone else seeing this? Are the devs aware of any problems with the scoreboard? I seem to remember at least one version previously having this sort of problem that I can remember.

I often will not get credited for a kill. I was playing last night and killed 2 guys, checked my score and I still had 0 kills. Then I was shooting across the river at them and killed one guy, got their medic and another guy, and I still only had 1 kill.

yeah the same thing happened to me on .8!But on .85 i havent seen anything like this happening.

how long had the round been going for you can kill a guy leave rejoin a few hours later and get your old score from before.

and maybe they jumped out before it hit and both died to to getting out of a moving supply truck or maybe someone less got the last damaging shot that killed it "if you see a tank on fire and throw a grenade and only use 0.1 dmg and it still burns to death even tho you only did 0.1 dmg you will get the kill and in a supply truck a bullet is counted as dmg that could be your answer there.

I didnt join after a short while, repeating that part of my post "I booted up at the weekend, started PR and joined a server. I then joined a squad and checked the scoreboard and noticed I had 3 points and 1 kill and 1 death before I had even done anything at all". I had not been online for 24 hours when I joined that day.

No, I hit the truck with an RPG as I already said and saw 2 people in there, one driving and one passenger. They had no idea as we were waiting in the trees and I saw the bodies laying there. No other squad member fired as they were instructed not to as it was an ambush and I had the AT Rifleman kit.

I know that it is the team win which is more important but kills mean ticket bleed also and if they are not being counted it goes against the team that got them. I spoke to someone online earlier who also said that one of the maps in 64 player mode does not bleed tickets at all for one team and is a know bug. Just wondering if the scoreboard thing is as well.

Yes, but I do find the scoreboard useful for other things. If I know how many enemies are in an area, I check my kills before I go in and after I die so I can see how many are left and then relay that to my squad.

i have problem too when i kill infantry with rpg then no kill score only points

Realize when you kill a player the score will not show up for some time. This is to remove scoreboard killing checks. Also some servers will keep you score even if you disconnect/kick/crash.

Also a number of things can effect your score. Zeroing out of your score can happen under certain ROE. For example killing a civilian will zero your score, not matter how high it is.

Sometimes errors do happen in the scoreboard and we will keep an eye on this thread if its a wide spread problem.

On occasion, back in .8, I would join a game fresh, spawn as an Ambusher and follow my squad, not even firing a shot or placing explosives. Managed to get two kills out of nowhere when checking the scores while walking the mountains of Korengal Valley.

So this problem has been around before. I don't a find it to be a game shattering bug, but what do I know?

The next time it happens, I'll list as much info as I can; what kit, what team, where it happened and approximately what time.

None of the points you suggested apply to the games I played and in my examples all were capture point games and not Insurgency mode apart from example 3. I have played long enough to know that kills do not register for a while and I am pretty sure something is not right with the scoreboard in 0.85 after playing for some time again today. I joined one game today after turning off my PC and rebooting 5 hours later and joined a different server entirely and had a point and a kill when I got on the server before even joining a squad or anything. I do know that if a player crashes or gets a PB boot and rejoins that the score is usually still there but again this just does not apply to the points I made including the examples I gave.

If any one else has noticed it would be advisable to post here as I think it needs further investigation.

If it did, I didn't see them. I only saw the medic revive one guy.

Another question, the stats do update at the end of the game right?

Either they got revived or they didnt give up yet. You only get the kills if they are dead.

Last night while driving an APC, We were doing EXTREMELY GOOD, but it kept saying I teamkilled people that were halfway across the map O_o

I'm glad I saw this thread, I thought I was going crazy.

Last week I RPG'd an APC with a full squad (I saw their bodies fly), pinned a squad down in a stairwell shooting 2-3 then saw a molitov kill the rest of the squad, got an APC and a command truck with mines, shot a 50cal gunner out of a HUMMMV, and at the end of the round I had 1 kill (it showed up shortly after the command truck got hit) and almost no points. This was playing Insurgent, I had no TK's, I was in a squad that was right in the middle of everything and working close together so we should have racked up some team work points.

This has happened to me every round I've played since .85. In .8 I consistently place in the top 5 players on a server and get a positive K : D most rounds (which is the main reason I check the score each time I die, see how my K : D is holding up).

IMHO Definitely some sort of bug.

Its the nilla medics fault, in the new ver. you cant kill anyone unless its a headshot from a .50 cal or more, or with numerous apc rounds in the dead body, and wow here i see the medics dolphin diving again just to get the wounded guy..

yea this happened to me before, i would kill someone and not get the point and either not kill someone and get a kill it was wierd. very rare though.

I would like to add that this also has happened to me also, on Jabal 2 nights in a row i was useing my HAT on the hotel of jabal and both nights i wiped out an APC within jabal i seen the bodys fly and hear the apc explode but no kills registered. I have also while playing Insurgent maps killed a full hummvs with a molitov and mines but no kills register.

Molotovs don't give you kills as dying in one counts as a suicide.
