Is the deviation for crouch and prone still the same ?

This is directly from the PR Small Arms weapons guide that myself, [R-CON]nedlands1 and [R-MOD]Bob_Marley are working on....
Chapter 3: Designated Marksman Rifles
These are precision self-loading rifles issued at the section or platoon level in order to extend the range of the infantry squad up to 600 meters and quickly eliminate key enemy personnel, such as NCOs, Officers and heavy weapons specialists. These weapons are equipped with optical sights typically between 4x and 9x magnification. They fire from box magazine from 10 to 30 rounds capacity and some are capable of full automatic fire. These specialist weapons are less flexible in their role than the standard issue rifle but still quite capable in most situations. The semiautomatic weapon is not as accurate as a true sniper system but allows for much more rapid fire making it suitable for use by normal infantry units.

Handling and deviation of Designated Marksman Rifles in PR

Hit Capability and its relativity to settle time after moving (WASD). Basically, this is how far your bullet will deviate from exactly where you aim (while sighted in) depending on how long you have settled.

Standing @ 200m

0 Seconds : 8.8m
1 Seconds : 7.1m
2 Seconds : 5.4m
3 Seconds : 3.8m
4 Seconds : 2.1m
5 Seconds : 0.4m


Crouching @ 200m

0 Seconds : 2.9m
1 Seconds : 2.3m
2 Seconds : 1.8m
3 Seconds : 1.2m
4 Seconds : 0.7m
5 Seconds : 0.14m


Prone @ 200m

0 Seconds : 2.2m
1 Seconds : 1.8m
2 Seconds : 1.4m
3 Seconds : 0.9m
4 Seconds : 0.5m
5 Seconds : 0.10m


Firing Deviation

Upon firing, an immediate follow up shot will have a very large deviation increase. It takes 2 seconds for maximum accuracy to be achieved after each shot. Thus, pacing your shots with 2 second intervals will result in deadly accuracy.

How wide is a BF2 soldier (at the chest area)? Like .5m?

Interesting, how goes that guide?

I only ask because I'm looking forward to a good read (and finally understanding how shoot :wink :)

Some good info there many thanks.
Do the "regular" (unlimited) rifles have similar timings ?
I also wonder about the mouse specially about different DPI settings would higher
DPI be interpreted as "more movement"=more deviation ?
