Me i'm for ropes on black hawks it can be controled by the person closest to the door, if not by them then by the pilot (have space control left rope hand 0 control right) and have a reload time on them so pilots just don't drop them when they take off and leave them dangling there. it might be possible to get the line of code used for the grapple hooks from special forces and use that. this would be kinda easier instead of trying to land the helo in small market squares.

From what I understand, DICE was going to include this origanlly in the game, but found the coding/animation to hard so they gave up. But then again, they were able to do grappling ropes later on. But, I don't think it's possible for the mod to use SF code/content. So, I think the awnser is, yes the mod would do this, but it would take too much time/effort becuase the coding and animations are complex so in the end no, they probebly aren't going to do this.

We can not use Special Forces content. Apparently it's a violation of the EULA. The same happens to the Night Vision shaders used in special forces for example. If we wanted to implement night vision, then Special Forces shaders for it could not be touched either.
