If Bradley is so versatile why is it only used by US and Saudi Arabia?
BMP3 is operated by 11 Countries - guess they all fail.
Never challenge the US in the air? Look up the missile ranges.
There won't be any dogfighting there.
F22's
AIM120d=165km
AIM-120 AMRAAM - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
R-33s=228km
Vympel R-33 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
if that's not long enough
Vympel R-37 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
=398km
And if it did come to dogfighting I'd bet on this:
YouTube - MIG 29 ILA AIRSHOW
over this:
YouTube - F-22 Raptor, Farnborough Airshow 2008
MLRS
I am talking about these 2:
M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
average range for the "rockets" 45km
BM-30 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
average range for the "rockets" 70km
I can't argue it's all "fail" and "propaganda" arguments
of course.

I guess you are russian huh ? Had you ever compare the avionics of those plane or they're combat record ? How many F15 had been shot down compare to mig29 ? Ho yeah thats right, no Russian mig had ever seen combat, but those who did, dont realy enjoy the experience.SocketMan wrote:If Bradley is so versatile why is it only used by US and Saudi Arabia?

24 March 1999: Yugoslav MiG-29 pilot Nebojša Nikolić took off from Batajnica Air Force Base. He encountered 24 NATO fighter jets. The NATO fighters immediately reacted to his presence. The MiG-29 evaded two enemy missiles before an American F-15 shot him down. Nikolić ejected at around 2,000 meters altitude and survived. According to US reports, two MiG-29s were shot down in the encounter, one by Captain Mike Shower and one by Lieutenant Colonel Cesar Rodriguez. One MiG-29 was shot down by a Dutch F-16.
26 March: In the afternoon, two Yugoslav MiG-29s took off from Batajnica to chase a lone NATO aircraft flying in direction of Bosnia (possibly a reconnaissance Mirage IV). They crossed the border and were ambushed by a group of three US F-15s. Both MiGs were shot down by Captain Jeff Hwang. One MiG pilot, Major Slobodan Perić evaded at least one missile before being hit. He ejected and was later smuggled back to Yugoslavia by the Republika Srpska police. After the war, he stated in an interview that his aircraft's radar was not working. The other pilot, Captain Zoran Radosavljević, did not eject and was killed.
On 4 May, a Yugoslav MiG-29, piloted by Lt. Colonel Milenko Pavlović (commander of the 204. fighter aviation regiment - the Yugoslav MiG-29 unit) was shot down over his native city Valjevo by two USAF F-16s. The falling aircraft was possibly hit as well by Strela 2 fired by Yugoslav troops. Pavlović was killed.
And we are not talking about Iraqi one...
And you think that can beat a F22 ?
Well they can beat there score at doing that :

What I think is this thread needs to be locked, this is pretty much a vs thread, but in the wrong section. This is now about Russian planes from MEC tanks?!?!
Not trying to be an armchair MOD, but this is the reason threads get locked, and this is just a 'who can shout the loudest about their military vehicles' now.

Did you look at the actual link? It's not the 20 year old MIG-29,this particular
one (OVT or Mig35) just came out a few years ago has a brand new engine with
"All aspect vector nozzles" among other things. Can it beat F-22? I have no idea.
Mig-31 however has never been exported for a good reason,it wont win a dog fight against most aircraft,it will win at BVR combat.
Anyway all that is to make a simple point:countries other then US can make very deadly toys whether you like it or not.Tanks included

Lol, Hotrod... One MiG vs. 24 NATO fighters? Is that supposed to proove that the MiG-29 isn't a good plane? Can't really call it a fair fight, that's for sure.
