That's exactly how I want it to look, with a 50 ontop of the rail. And a seat in the tailgate.Teek wrote:USI has one made from our current truck

DEV's said that the Up Armored vehicles would be "POSSIBLY" be implemented if every faction gets one. So far the PLA, MEC, and USA have one modeled by the DEV's and CON's. The UK, and Russian Factions do not. Plus APC's are being used as the main transportation source so I have lost hope in the Up Armored being implemented.

Russia is currently not using any? What? .. Russia uses and produced the Vodnik (the real on, not the crappy vBF2 one) and apart of it, the closest thing to that kind of vehicle would be the BRDM.ReaperAce712 wrote:DEV's said that the Up Armored vehicles would be "POSSIBLY" be implemented if every faction gets one. Second, UK is not using any, that doesn't mean we shouldn't get a VN3 just because someone doesn't have an equivalent : Reality is not balanced.
As for the Topless HMMWV, good luck m8. However I doubt you'll ever see this in PR, generation kill is Iraqi Freedom, now most HMMWV are uparmoured versions and it'd be dumb sending unarmored vehicles into the BF like that.
Good idea for training tho, should be a good intro to modeling/coding vehicles for BF2-PR.

What would be more awesome would be the Humvee's with the SAW's on in the doors and the .50 on top.

British forces were first released with a vehice that only carries 3, now it has a version that carries 6.ReaperAce712 wrote:DEV's said that the Up Armored vehicles would be "POSSIBLY" be implemented if every faction gets one. But the fact that it was released with the 3 version for a long time shows that not every team has to have its full complement of assets.
Anyway, if Cheeseman finishes the Cougar, he can put the box on the back and made it a mastiff quite easily?

No, it was Operation Iraqi Freedom 1 which took place in 2003. Not Desert Storm that occurred in 1990.Tannhauser wrote: As for the Topless HMMWV, good luck m8. Oh great, for christ sake! I just made all the GK fans hate me for some stupid mistake.
I didn't watch the show, only some pictures, period. Can y'all stop picking on me now? It's not like it has any sacrosanct value, so I don't care if I insulted any GK fans here, you can hate me all you want, it's a effing show just get over it.
And it's not the point, I was just refering to the fact those HMMWVs are not sent to frontlines anymore. Aren't they using uparmored versions or are they being freaky GK fans too, fielding unarmored cars like those just for the lulz?
Thanks for telling me anyway...

I wass joking man, but it still proves that in a large military operation, the topless humvees would still be used

well, in that series anyway they were very unhappy about not being dismounts in LAVs iirc, they were given the broken down hummers specifically for the expected missions which were scrubbed because they took a wrong turn
so tahnhauser is correct to an extent, even in 2003

ATTENTION ALL AIRCHAIR GENERALS, PLEASE STAND DOWN AT ONCE.
Thankyou, now that includes everyone basicly posting in this thread. At the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom most United States HMMWV were not armored how they currently are. The US did not expect IED's and ambushs how they get now. The US changed teh orders for the hummers for better armor to further protect the troops.
And tell if i'm wrong but isnt GK a movie? Its like the same thing they say about Band of Brothers. Both look realisitc but there not, things are changd to make them look like better on camera then anything.

Yes, and now in 2009(Not 2003!) almost all US hummers are Uparmored, only known unarmoed hummers were talking about are now found in SF groups or on military bases,I wass joking man, but it still proves that in a large military operation, the topless humvees would still be used![]()

Oh wait... in PR... it's a conventional battle! For the majority at least it is.LtSoucy wrote:Yes, and now in 2009(Not 2003!) almost all US hummers are Uparmored, only known unarmoed hummers were talking about are now found in SF groups or on military bases,

My Up-armored HMMWV still exists and it's done, but lately I've been so damn busy to post any updates or anything at all on the forums.Dr2B Rudd wrote:We don't even know if Cheeseman's up armoured humvee even exists are a project anymore, he hasn't posted onit in ages, same for his cougar.
The open top humvees ingame do seem rather...odd not to either protected OR armed.
