Zoom effect, to more things?

I love the zoom effect of the marksman rifle, soflam etc. It really helps gameplay and feels smooth.

Can this effect not be given to tanks etc?

It depends on the type of optic the Tank has.

Assuming its a digital zoom, then there it is unlikely that you will actually see the magnification. Probably just the screen freeze for a second, then refresh to a image with a greater zoom.

In short, is it Realistic?
