China also got their assault rifle and grenadier before the other factions.

Every single team needs love, but there are more modellers interested in doing MEC/blufor forces because they come from countries that are involved with either team in some way.
I would say that British forces need some love
but I'm British.
China has got some nice stuff now, all they need to be awesome is the VN3 instead of the ice cream car.

When some of the new vehicles and the PLANM come, the Chinese are going to be, in my opinion, not only overhauled but completely rejuvenated, so I wouldn't worry too much about them being neglected. Like everything else in the works, it takes time, so just have a little patience and the Chinese will get the love they deserve.

I think PLA is fine except their uniform. It should be reskinned.

Interesting thing I came across. The new Chinese Type-03 rifle.

Its the newest rifle but is an older AK style and definitely not the bullpub that is the Type-95. World of guns says "For various but unpublished reasons the bullpup Type 95 / QBZ-95 assault rifle was apparently found not entirely satisfactory in PLA service. Therefore it was decided to develop a new 5.8mm assault rifle of conventional layout, which will provide necessary competition and backup to its older bullpup brother."
Dunno what that means for the future of the Type-95.

...and realistic. Don't get why many people think it's the same as vanilla. Totally mind-bogglingly different. Also can't wait for the PLA marines to be released.Rhino wrote:the PLA Digi cammo is awesome![]()

I know the camo is realistic, but it looks bit low quality for me comparing to other uniforms.

IMO the PLA uniform looks menacing and I really like how it hides in OGT forests
PLA is my personal favorite faction in the whole game and I wish it has the attention it deserves. Currently insurgents, brits, mecs and americans dominate the server map rotation pool and developement (at least looks like it). Qwai and Bi Ming (haven't even seen this in 0.85) are very rarely played and more forest/woodland style maps would be excellent to make them to come back again.
Good to see DEVs are working on something for them, looking forward seeing the changes. Kuai kuai kuai!

IIRC the qbz03 was made becuase some were unhappy with the bullpup and wanted a more conventional weapon , and it was issued to scout units .

Unpublished perhaps, but not unknown...PFunk wrote:"For various but unpublished reasons the bullpup Type 95 / QBZ-95 assault rifle was apparently found not entirely satisfactory in PLA service...."
Source: SA-80 Shame of the British ArmyPW: Interesting -and quite significant in that bullpups are often touted as being better for firing from vehicles. Fumes are a problem with any prolonged firing in a confined space such as a vehicle, but it seems this is likely to be an even greater problem with a Bullpup.
The Chinese military seem to have encountered the same problem with their bullpup:-
"The Type 95 assault rifle adopts a bullpup layout similar to the French Giat FAMAS and the British SA80 assault rifles. The efficiency of this design has been highly controversial from the experience of its fielding in the PLA. The weapon is generally regarded great when used for close-range, hip-firing. However, when the weapon is used for long-range accurate shoulder-firing, the smoke, noise, heat and disturbance of the ejected cartridges are widely complained.”

Yea I've read that about the SA-80. Some say its been fixed but some say its just flawed anyway.
Is the bullpup inherently a 'bad' design or is there something that needs to be done to make it work that hasn't yet? Not a huge gun expert but I'm interested.

to let you guys know, i'm coming along with some of the final design stuff at the moment, so the chinese will have a better boat in the future (instead of using R.I.B's) i'm waiting on updating till i get the last details pinned down with jonny and i'll show you guys a nice update in the PLANM thread at that time

Just talk to the soldiers who use the weapon, everyone I have talked to say its a incredibly reliable and accurate weapon which they have no problems with it and when it dose brake its normally down to it being used in the wrong way or w/e.PFunk wrote:Yea I've read that about the SA-80. QBZ95 has basically gone through its teething time. It'll definitely stay in the PLA despite there are still a minority which favor the QBZ03 over the QBZ95.
In regards to the QBZ03, it will more than likely be the future weapon of PAP troops as their weapon load out diverge from the PLA.
