Remove the "headgear" change plz

Post by Ace42 »

At present, if a coalition fellow grabs an insurgent kit, they put on the Arabic headdress. Aside from the fact that soldiers in the UK army are under orders not to scavenge foreign kits; they'd certainly NOT give up their headgear in favour of some cloth. Now I can understand the insurgents wanting a nice shiny helmet to protect their bonces; but seeing coalition forces wearing insurgent head wear is not just unrealistic, but it also results in plenty of friendly-fire head-shots which are unavoidable because if there is only a tiny portion of head showing, the team name tag won't appear no matter how long you wait, and it's impossible to identify.

ATM it's kinda silly and very frustrating for the old FF. It's not so bad with insurgents, at least there's a good chance they're wearing distinctive shirts, or have clearly visible facial hair, but it's still pretty irritating, but with the other armies it's just a real drag.

From what i've read, it's a side effect of adding new factions to the game. I'm sure they're working to find a way to fix this, but even if they can't i'd rather keep this small bug then get rid of factions.

Sideeffect of the new kit geometries used for Russians, Taliban, etc.

Haven't found a way yet to get around it.

Ah, cool, glad to know you're on it. I thought it was just a "cute" way of showing the ins were scavenging gear. Feel free to lock and disregard this.

I believe it's the same engine problem that was in 1942 as well. Nothing more humorous than playing as a German, putting on a Russian officer cap and tricking people into thinking your a Rusky :?

I noticed the American Riflemen specialist is an American of Asian descent, which makes him the perfect spy on the PLA maps ;-)
