Not yet... My guess is that if most assets are done but not map is finished we might just use a ME based map like Basrah or perhaps Ramiel in order to simulate the deployment of the JSDF in Iraq a few years ago.

However "162" is working on some statics of Japan-based maps. It's a matter of time.

I hope there will be some island fights against Russia or PLA

In fact there should only be Japan based maps since its a self defence force :-P
Ive heard about japs in iraq but i don't think they are very seeing combat

First of all... don't refer to japanese as "Japs" please. It's deemed as an offensive term by them.

And apart from a ME based map, the idea is that firt Japan-themed maps would be either from the South West islands that connect Japan with Taiwan against China or the North East islands against Russia. There is a topic requesting assistance from the Russian faction team but they don't seem to be motivated at this point to help this faction go further. And it seems most russians are not keen on the idea of Russia attacking Japan... can't say I blame them :razz:

I have some question for moding game thing :confused:

-For example , do i have to make quads with ends of cylinders ?
Because kartan's C7 has a lot of multi edges faces

thanks everyone, hopefully this will be the first IFV I will have in-game shots of, as I'm gonna try export it as a Bundlemesh. It won't be textured, though :(
I am eager to see you working on another faction like German Forces.
If all goes well I will model a Marder for the GF guys, I like the German APC's :D

I didn't know that German use tanks from WWII !!!
Well, I'm joking, that must has been a new vehicule called Marder, but I haven't found it on Wiki...I will search a little more :-)

You help us a lot, thank you, and we hope to see you back soon for the JSDF faction
As you already know, I'm not quite finished my work for you guys, I still need to optimise a little (I can shave 2,000 poly's of the Type 90 by tweaking it's wheels) and model the suspension on all the vehicles (so they can be exported). Once you guys get a japanese equivilent of a Humvee, a UVer and a texturer there isn't a lot of work left to be done :)

Edit: Type 90's new poly count: 7,300. Should I model a little more detail?

Wow... that's a nice Type-89 IFV model.
Now this and the other models need UV and textures and then maybe this faction might get some help from other communities mods.
