New Mec Weapon

Ok well i just do not like the Mec standard issue G3, its recoil and with its scope=death. Its just un accurate its recoil is horrible and the scope makes everything harder, ok so i use an iron sight, yea its probably realistic can we please get a new weapon for the MEC team?

The G3 is a great gun, learn to use it. Just because you can't use it, doesn't mean it's ****.

Really? Because so far I've only seen one person that hated it and tons that love it. Personally it's my second or third favorite rifle in the game. Just not a fan of the 20-round mag. At least the power makes up for it.

Tip for the future: Whenever you have a suggestion, saying "I know it's realistic but..." tends to get nothing more than the facepalm.

but in all seriousness, considering the fact that the mec is a fictional faction, the G3 is still probably the most realistic weapon choice for them. Its a very widely used gun in the middle east. giving them AKs would have been the other realistic choice, however im glad the devs didnt because we got enough factions with AKs running around in PR. The g3 helps to differentiate them a bit.

And i dont know what your talking about, the g3 rules.

G3 is a great gun, massive damage, big range and accurate in single shot. If anything its a little too good

Short range you might prefer the m16 but its still usable and you could just learn to frame your targets more. Anticipation and angle of attack, etc can make any weapon effective, thats the challenge


Dont crewman get mp5, use that instead if you prefer to rush enemies

why not i mean mecs got heaps of oil money they by the best things that money can by for the mec army to a verry well equiped extent

I like it better than the AK-74M which seems to have the power to make bullets curve perfectly around the enemy.

Oh hello, I am a Dev who has put years of their life towards this project, creating a finely-tuned game, putting untold amounts of effort into making factions unique and asymmetrically balanced. Now that this person has made a two-sentence post telling me that he wants the entire basis of the faction's infantry-side of combat completely revamped, I think I will make it my top priority to do so, destroying all of the hard work done to make the MEC faction unique over the past few years all because he said "please."

I love the MEC's standard-issue G3A3, combined with it's optics and proper usage, it equals death. It is very accurate and powerful, but its recoil compensates for that, making engagements beautifully asymmetrically balanced. I take the varient with optics when I plan to engage targets at range, and the ironsight version when I plan to engage at closer ranges. It is very realistic and I would cry if it was taken away from me.

Its not my favorite weapon in the game but i think it should remain as MECs primary rifle

g3 is actually my favorite gun of all factions.
because it feels more like a mans rifle than the wimpy m16/m4 and QZB
in all seriousness take your time to learn to play with the rifle. single shot on long distance is unrivaled by any other "normal" faction rifle and full auto on short distance can also cause lots of damage (just make sure ur REALLY close and prone when going full auto) if ur further than 25 m stick with single fire.

yeah your probably right. it just seems to me like a middle eastern army wouldnt do the whole "tacitcool 1337 rails aimpoint acog etc" type g3. but, they are fictional, so really they can have whatever. i just wouldnt suggest changing the gun to something outside the g3 family though.

and if your gonna suggest the mec lose the g3, then atleast suggest something to replace it.

The G3 is amazing.. CQB It cleans house like crazy.. 2 rounds to kill plus 20 rounds of full auto usually ends well for me. The iron sight fully automatic is very easy to control, considering the guns power. I always charge with the G3 in urban combat. Come to think of it, i always charge anyway, in almost any situtuation. Its amazing how people are caught so off guard by a direct frontal charge.

Whatever you guys do.. DONT soak the thing in rails.

G3 is awesome, only way I see of taking the G3 away to a degree is when all these 'proposed' middle eastern teams get made, if ever.

i dont know about you but then again i like the new probebly becouse i like it and it looks cool and makes it more easier for u to use the G3 im not asking to do a totel new thing all they can do is replace the handguard with a rail handguard and the top bit with a rail on it at least it will stop them suqing im a young gun i just turned 23 in the 14/02/09 i gess i like upgrades like doing ur car up i just like the goodies
