Expanded engineering - suggestion

Post by Baji09<RangersPL> »

Hello there!

I would like to refresh topic about enginner equipment, and suggest to putt in PR AVLB.

AVLB

Link to old topic.

Topic above was submited in 2005, so I would like to ask is there any hope to see such equipment / support (?) in near future in PR?

Best regards

In short, Car no like drive on tank.
In the Refracter II Engine (BF2 Engine), Vehicles don't like collisions with other objects. EX. The Motorbikes on Al Basrah and the building that you back up into. Its a big open space, but it acts like a solid wall to the bikes. So sorry, those bridges aren't possible.

Maybe there's a way around engine limitations....

The bridge could be spawned in front of a AVLB just like supply crate is spawned behind logistic truck. The bridge doesn't have to a part of the vehicle....

There could be also some kind of a "dummy object" on top of the vehicle when it carry a bridge, so it could dissapear when bridge is put on the ground.... it could work the same way as armament on jets pylons.

Just a theory...

The only way I think this could be done would be like a deployable asset. However there's still lots of problems coming with that...
Wasn't this already suggested plenty of times?
