Hmm, not bad but I still would prefer system where tank driver/commander gives the targets to gunner... If it is possible?

I see what you're saying, but in BF2, there is 2 positions. Stopped and moviing at top speed after about 2 seconds. Now my guess is, if someone fired, unless it was a reeally long distance shot, by the time they started moving, they would be hit anyway.Flanker15 wrote:"Identified!" would be the most realistic fit for the lock message.
Problem I see with it is the tracking ability of the shell, IRL if a target changes speed or course after the shell is fired you're almost garunteed a miss. With guided shells, even if they turn slowly you'd probably still hit.

Shells have a max travel time of 1 second. I'd like to see anyone change one target length in that time. Besides, it doesn't always hit.
