Hummer immobilization.
Ok I am pretty much sick and tired of blasting a hummer dead on with an rpg and watching the gunner continue firing and the thing just roll of like it got a mud bath, is there no way to make it go immobile after sustaining enough damage?

Re: Hummer immobilization.
i am pretty sure a Humvee could survive a RPG. a suggestion is if you shoot the RPG on top of the Humvee or on the rear it would blow up.

Re: Hummer immobilization.
Ya one could survive an rpg, a humvee could survive 50 rpgs if they all hit in the right places. I am pretty sure in bf2 the hitboxes are not even good enough to register certain damage to certain areas so you could not actually immobilize it in a realistic way.
In real life if a rpg round directly hit the windshield anyone in the way would be toast a wheel and the thing would be immobile, Like every other vehicle in the game when it gets damaged it goes immobile except the hummer.

But its not, and also that was BEFORE .85 when rpgs did allot more damage this is a suggestion to compensate for that lack of damage with adding immobilization to the hummer, pretty much all other vehicles have immobilization except the hummer and I think it should because it is not some magical unicorn vehicle that can just ride off into the sunset after sustaining heavy damage. btw are you here to help suggestions or just try to get any thread closed because its kinda sorta been mentioned in another suggestion?cplgangster wrote:https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f18-pr ... amage.html very similar
You know I can't even tell if you are just trolling or not seems like you are trying oftly hard to find a reason why this is a re suggestion when its not.

Ya well maybe you should experience the game before shooting down suggestions.

I read that they can't get immobilization working right on wheel vehicles, it works better on tracked ones.

I don't see why hummers shouldn't be able to use their 50s while immobile. One thing that might be cool though is if the 50 cal turret gets jammed in place, ala tank turrets, on a similarly randomised basis to simulate the 50s mechanism getting messed up, I assume they can be damaged by RPG fire and the like IRL anyway, wouldn't say for certain.

Re: Hummer immobilization.
Your claim that EVERY vehicle in the game can be immobilized except the humvee is false. Helicopters, Tanks, APCs, AAV are the only vehicles i've ever seen become immobilized. Does the ice cream truck? Or vodnik? Or technical, supply tuck, civie cars, dirtbikes, ATVs, etc?nick20404 wrote:But its not, and also that was BEFORE .85 when rpgs did allot more damage this is a suggestion to compensate for that lack of damage with adding immobilization to the hummer, pretty much all other vehicles have immobilization except the hummer and I think it should because it is not some magical unicorn vehicle that can just ride off into the sunset after sustaining heavy damage. btw are you here to help suggestions or just try to get any thread closed because its kinda sorta been mentioned in another suggestion?

And the fact that the RPG has lost some power in this version shouldn't change the need for this suggestion. This suggestion would be great to apply to every vehicle in the game. And i'm sure they would if it worked 100% It's not like the devs are holding back on features like that. They didn't sit down and say "Well the tanks can be immobilized, but the humvee is a cherry bomb on wheels, just becasue! MUahahahahah!!!"

cplgangster was right it has been suggested many times. There is one example.

Re: Hummer immobilization.
Technical's and ins cars go immobile fine the tires go flat and if you keep driving it will explode why can't this be implemented on the US team as well.badmojo420 wrote:I read that they can't get immobilization working right on wheel vehicles, it works better on tracked ones.
Maybe if it is possible put suppression inside the vehicle so when an RPG strikes everyone gets blurred and goes def like a ringing sound in your ears. It would make it allot more realistic and make it so they cannot see were they are going IE they go off the road and crash, They cannot hear for a few seconds maybe 10 seconds so they cannot hear mic chatter or anything else etc.
Or at least make them cause damage to the people inside maybe kill them or something like the bomb car does to the tank, when it explodes close and doesn't kill the tank but it will kill the people inside.

Have you not played the game as well???
First of all technical's DO get immobilized IE flat tires same with civi cars, last time I check unless they changed it so did the vodnik and the icecream truck does as well. As far as i know the supply truck does not go immobile idk about the atvs and i don't think the bomb truck goes immobile.
god what is with people in these forums rather arguing than adding some insight on the damn suggestion just gtfo already!

Re: Hummer immobilization.
We're pointing out that your suggestion has been discussed in the past, if i was to get that response to one of my suggestions, i would thank the person for taking the time to link me to the relevant information. If you want to ignore that, and just go by what you think or you know, and dwell on any small detail of ours that you can disprove, fine.
Can an admin please lock this thread, it's a RESUGGESTION

Personally, I have seen a humvee, nanjing, and vodnick get "flat" tires, it's just a rare thing to have happen.nick20404 wrote:Have you not played the game as well???

However, you, nick, need to calm down. You are yelling at people who have hundreds of more posts then you. And the bolded is just not necessary.
While I agree that it makes me mad when I can hit a humvee with an RPG and it just keeps rolling, the way you are wording your posts just begs people to pick a fight with you.
Everyone wants to easily kill their opponent but nobody wants to be the one easily killed. That line of thinking escalates weaponry to the point where practically every soldier has a shoulder-mounted nuke launcher that when fired, automatically displays the text "pwnt".- [R-CON]Wolfe

Re: Hummer immobilization.
oh god... now since you have more posts than someone it makes you better you people are ridiculous, if this was a re suggestion the mods could come clear it all up by stating so, I don't need 5 people coming in the thread saying its a re suggestion in every one of there posts, just drop it jesus. If you want to discuss the suggestion that is fine but don't just come to the suggestion section to troll people.
Also just because you have more posts than me doesn't mean a damn thing I can say I have probably been playing this mod longer than any of you (since it was a minimod) and I am not some complete noob I have been a member of these forums longer than some of you just because I don't spend all day posting here doesn't mean my words are nothing.
And on a further note I looked in the re-suggestion thread, I searched for this suggestion before I posted so I have done nothing wrong save your bs for someone else, and if that makes you want to pick a fight with me go troll some where else.

Re: Hummer immobilization.
So providing you a link to PROVE this is a re-suggestion, is considered trolling? Ur funny.
Since you've been a member of this board for so long, i'm sure you know how annoying it gets to have the same suggestions discussed over and over again, since we're just repeating ourselves. I have opinions and ideas about this suggestion, but i'm not going to get into a big discussion about it when it's been discussed in other threads. Not to mention that this thread WILL be locked as soon as any DEV confirms it, so why waste my time and yours? But yeah, i'll GTFO now, just for you.
