I have thought of this before and also think it would be a good idea. It would also encourage more thorough communication over VOIP.

Been brought up before- And was found to be a bad Idea. Due to in real life there are going to be a lot more Identifiable land marks then the BF2 engine can handle.

Plus BF2 does not support pointing at something when you want people to look at it.

IRL you would follow your squad, you wouldn't have to individually find an azimuth to your objective and follow it. The only time you would do this is if you where designated to be the compass man in your squad or you got supper lost. The in game system works best as is. And I think AgentMongoose is right that this is a resuggestion.

Make the Sl wave and point with the hands (like in FH2), same for contact report of other grunts. Remove the 3d marker and leave the normal map marker..solved.
