Dont know if any PR players ever played joint opps games but they were a fps made by the people who created the delta force games, good game but without the refined features of PR but some of the features in the game may be worth thinking about the one i liked was the round lenth on some of the servers was like 4 hours wich meant that you could play for an hour leave the game to do whatever then return an hour later to re join the server & quite often find the same players still in game im sure there may have even been a 6 hour round timer.
this sort of gave the feeling you could take leave from the game and you knew in an hours time you could re enter the battle that had been going on while you had been gone.
I cant remember how they worked the winners & losers out but i think maybe it whent on team scores going up instead of frags coming down and the winner was the side with the highest team score after say 4 to 6 hours? if anyone can remember please add to this thread.
Anyway my point is that the worst part of joining lets say an insurgent round on fallujah west is when you get in there and you hear the 10 point siren blast out, and the second worst part is when your realy getting into a round and things are getting a bit fruity and the round comes to an end.
I know all good things come to an end but i think it would be nice to join in the middle of a round and see that your faction is getting its arse opened up by the other side and you think right lets see if i can help turn this around.
Im not saying that anything should be changed i was just wondering if it could be possible to have a second veriation of some game types -ie.insurgent as we know it now and isurgency with a timer & unlimited re spawns?
let me know what you think.

Re: game clock
thanks spork.
those long games in JO were mostly on the 150 player servers on Straits of malacca, and i think most of us dont want such long games because people want to see the start and the outcome. its a bit boring to have to leave not seeing the outcome.
but yes, persistent games is what we will see in the future but they will probably last much much longer so you dont miss out too much, and there will be many more players.

Re: game clock
you may want to have a look at arma.senator55 wrote:And your thoughts are????????
a game of arma on some maps can last 72 hours with 128 people.
most are only 24/28 hours long with 64 people but they do get epic at times.
this is PvAi & PvP combat.
INS needs more time put into it maybe 20 caches 400 tickets.
Twisted Helix: Yep you were the one tester that was of ultimate value.

Sorry but the last thing I would like to see in PR is team deathmatch gamemode and gameplay based on frags...senator55 wrote:Im not saying that anything should be changed i was just wondering if it could be possible to have a second veriation of some game types -ie.insurgent as we know it now and isurgency with a timer & unlimited re spawns?
