I really don't understand your question there. You mean do you have to lead a target if they're moving? If so, then the answer is yes.

even for sniper though ? just saying this sinse if you need to lead target with sniper then it not very realistic, sinse the first lesson you are taught is keeping eyes on and corsshares on the target at all times, leading target a common misconception when using a sniper.

same applys with most weapon systems unless target is above useally 600 mtrs. then the bullet velocity needs leading, anything lower than 600 useally 400 being the average doesnt need any type of leading shooting to be done as the velocity of the bullet easly reachs target within less than a fraction of a second.

All projectiles in PR have realistic velocities.

Take into account online ping ;)

I'll do the math for that:

M40A3 for example:
(Source wikipedia)

Muzzle velocity: (777 m/s)

So when the bullet exists the muzzle the speed of it is 777 meters a second!

So when shooting from 600m, you need to think where the enemy will be 0.772 seconds from the time you fire the bullet.

L118A1 // M107 Barret

850 m/s // 853 m/s

So when shooting from 600m, you need to think where the enemy will be 0.705 // 0.703 seconds from the time you fire the bullet.

I'll make a chart for the M40a3 seeing as it's my fav sniper in the game

METERS-----Time bullet reaches target (seconds)

50----------- .064
100---------- .128
200---------- .257
300---------- .386
400---------- .514
500---------- .643
600---------- .772
700---------- .900
800---------- 1.02
900---------- 1.15
1000-------- 1.28

I'm not sure if this is correct in PR or not, But it sure as hell should be!

No way does 1000 metres take 1.28 seconds. More like 2.83 or something.

thats how fast its going when it leaves the barrel, but it wont keep that velocity , it will drop in velocity very quickly...

I saw the thread title and thought you were going to accuse us of having bad breath :|

I didn't know that was possible in the refractor engine.
