i am just curious as too why the rebels and the russian forces cannot use each others equipment? is this a symptom of coding or was there a reason? i figure that russians could figure out the not so technical, technical.

Re: Russian Maps
I think it's because the vehicles are team locked after being used by one team, like the civilian cars in Muttrah v2 in .8 were.
Both sides could take Grey car for the first time, but after being taken by the USMC, Grey car could only be used by the USMC thereafter. The MEC could not use this Grey car at all after the opposing force hopped in.
So if the Rebels took a technical, ditched it and Russian forces found it, the Russians could not use the technical if these technicals worked like the Muttrah v2 civilian cars of .8.
I'm not sure why this was so, nor if it was intentional or not.

I still think the humvee, vodnik, tachnical, etc. should be able to be driven by anyone.

It's posible i think but very hard to code.Incomplete Spork wrote:I still think the humvee, vodnik, tachnical, etc. should be able to be driven by anyone.

No.... It would be like reg bf2, all you would have to do is change the vehicle spawns to no (0) "Team on Vehicle" under the bf2 editor. Neutral vehicles people hop out of would be visible by the enemy on the map. It's possible i think but very hard to code.

Cartillery !!!
I've forgotten until now
Nothing makes you feel like god more then dropping a Vodnik on an F-35 taking off.
Maybe the Russians don't want to take a risk of hidden IED's inside the technicals?

'Cartillery' wasn't teamlocked. Made "flanking" alot simpler.SocketMan wrote:Cartillery !!!

Re: Russian Maps
The biggest problem is that once you hop out of a permanently neutral vehicle, it pops up back on the map/minimap as a gray icon. I've ruined surprise attacks this way.
