Something needs to be done about commander.
No Arty, UAV, Scan, or Supplies you're kidding

by design. commander is there to direct the battle and to respond to squad leader requests for supplies and arty. uav and scan will likely never return in their vBF2 form.

I like the PRMM changes to commander a lot.

I would like to see one change and that would be to allow the commander to call for arty or supplies himself. That way, if the squad leaders are too busy, he can take care of it in the heat of battle.

It was changed from that system, why would it be changed back? If the Squad Leaders are too busy, they clearly don't need it.

are you kidding me? most maps on PRMM .3 dont have anything for commanders it's so boring and that stupid 60 second spawn time pisses me off

It's not 60 second for spawn on most servers. However for each time you die the spawn time does go up. Also removing scan and UAV from commander is a good move forces them to focus on responding to SL's and issuing orders.

Why not have arty, whit one hell of a long reload time? So you only have to use it wisly, the same goes whit UAV

Hmm, Some Guys like Action and some like tactics, slower gameplay...thats it. the ari in vanilla BF2 is like a big atom nuke :) it destroys tactical gameplay completly. the commander in pr has not such a power, the anti tank only a pistol, the medic needs long time to dev, the .....

We were unable to edit the attributes of the Arty. Reload time is fixed, no way to change it. I'd love to make it less available, but last about 3 minutes when you do get it hehe.

Just eliminate arty all together and instead allow squad leaders to lanch a one time only small sirstrike.

Arty is fine. It's destroyable, and needs to be asked for. Even though it's simple to exploit it using two people, people don't even bother doing it. It was like the trademark of vBF2, and no matter how much you hate it, it's not really BF2 without it. And anyway, now supply crates don't have those magic repairing arms, if you bomb the artillery they don't come back unless someone fixes them manually. Just hide in the grass nearby and wait for the commander to come back with his wrench because no one listens to his repair requests. ;)
