Post by Campez »

Am i the only one who have notist that half of the servers is full of noobs who dont know how to act as a team. i was playing SUV on some maps, and instead of trying to bring the SUV to its destination, people are just playing rambo instead. and im so tried of it :D

I was playing on an Xtract server last night and won about 7 maps in a row, both attacking the VIP and also moving the VIP.

The way we did it? I got people to squad up and shouted a lot on Text! And sent the squads to key places on the route.

It all comes down to some1 taking control!

I completely agree. Some one has to just get really loud (soetimes even with caps lock and !!!!!!) and give simple but very important orders.
You can let the SL do the imdeiate stuff but unless an overall plan is clar in every ones mind - it is all down to chance if you win.

Every 10/5 mins it can be a good idea to repeat it, jsut to inform new players and keep things in check.

I think it could be due to being a new objective no one knew what to do as well. just piss and moan... watched the suv go over the river in karkand just to be blown up by about 100 mines lol!

People will learn.

It takes mucho teamwork to play extraction properly, but when it all goes right its SWEET.

There was only 1 game where i felt there was actual teamwork. I was flying the littlebird with 2 support troops and 2 specops troops, and we were drawing fire away from the convoy (Strike at Karkand). We managed to avoid the missiles but draw a lot of attention, and the convoy made it. Record time, 5 min game over.

Thx thrymm... but these moments are rare... you never get a squad working together, there's miscommunication, voice chat, people flying off without you, people driving into deathtraps...

And everyone goes lone wolf. Its only when we can assemble a solid english speaking squad that the whole thing works, because normally its a few english people and japanese. Miscommunication.

If you want to cook stir-frys, there are better places to do it than an xtract map :p

I played Xtract once. The first round, our team won easily because it seemed EVERYONE had heard about what it is (well come on, it's not hard, you look at the site for two seconds and you know what Xtract is!) so we won in literally the time it takes for the SUV to get from station to station. It was a non-stop journey.

The second round was hilarious. We were defending, and about half our team were throwing SLAMs in the road. Little did they know they don't have detonators any more. As you can imagine, the road was exploding like a firecracker and we lost about half our team who tried to block off the last choke points. I was smart and just threw down some AT mines and a super C4, though I never needed them. I switched to commander and used the satellite view to watch the SUV. It was parked up, nobody was using it, they just got humvees and Little Birds and attacked us. Every 5 seconds someone would say 'hus the vip? lol' and every 6 seconds someone from our team would say 'THE GUY IN THE BIG BLACK CAR'. Eventually, they managed to drive, fortunately they didn't try to cross the busted up bridge, but they went over the water and were me with a barrage of AT rockets. We won.

Ah, but you see, there are people who don't know/don't care. Most of the people who download the mod don't read the updates. They usually just download and play.

it is very easy to distract people, used to do it a lot on Joint Ops. 2 or 3 of us would go off on one flank of the enemy and pop smoke, throwflashes, spray loads of rounds at the enemy and most of them would turn and run at us. we'd wait till it got too bad and then tell the rest of our side to charge through without stopping for anything and it made some very, very overwhelming games as base after base was snowballed.
