Mod Ban?

Post by Galliruler »

Is it possible for the Devs to ban a player from the game completely?

Because some smacktard parked under me and forced me to Tk him and the chopper, AND the truck cristonbal21 parked, then started bitching that I rammed him.

Anyone that saw me play on the Blackwater server saw that little TK fest. He kept bitching that I tk'd him, then DirtyDustyKilla started TKing me for the chopper, which the fucknut tried to pilot without the kit, only to die.

Nope. You got to post it in their forums or contact an admin of that specific server.

You'd need proof then you can see if you can get a hold of the major server admins to ask them to ban them from their servers, but you'd most likely need proof that he was doing it.

Try asking some of the BW admins or something for a BR file.

i think a DEV can ban a player from all servers because i was in a server once and i saw a guy get ip banned from like all servers, his ip scrolled through the top, and it said banning al IP from every server, but im not sure if it was permanent.

I think what happens is when you get banned for something really bad, they make sure that the other major servers' admins know so you get banned from there too. Since there's about 10 or so major servers in PR, it's easy to essentially IP ban you from the whole mod.

You can get a GUID ban which bans your hardware and suck but that is only issued for hacks.
And a TK doesn't warrent a perm ban. Maybe you should be less butt hurt

If I was an admin and I saw a guy tk'ing I'd warn. If he continued he would get a kick. If he did it again then give him a temporary ban. After that a Perm ban is fair game.

SA got a Forum for here own here. If somthing really bad happens on a server the Admin post it there. That means u got a good change of a global PR - Ban.

accidental TK's happen, say your sorry and be done wth it. Intentional TK's is a sign that someone may not be mature enough to play with most members of this community. i think a global ban might not be a bad idea. thinning the herd is healthy sometimes.

a lot of servers stream to punksbusted and use a global ban list (that includes regular BF2 servers and any other mod servers streaming to punksbusted). there are thousands and thousands of banned players on this global list. if you get on the global ban list you cannot play on any streaming server, whether you've been there before or not.

If I see an intentional TK with my own eyes its a perm ban that can be debated later, if its just a TK getting reported a normal kick is best, but it can be hard to tell sometimes.
