=DAM= Clan to Offer Training for New Players

Hi everyone, I have read all the posts so far and I have to agree reading the manual and using the training mod is a must. But I know for myself that it is still nice to have someone standing next to you explaining what the manual said and showing you the basics while you are learning. So with that said, I hope this this the right place for this.

This is not a recruitment action, this is for new players to learn the game in a controlled environment

The =DAM= Clan in conjunction with [MOH] and =MM= is willing to offering training nights for new players. We have a training server up and running, for scheduled training nights we will secure it with a password to make it an even more controlled environment to learn in.

To get this started we need to know who is interested and what nights work.

If you are serious about wanting to learn this Great Game then please respond to this on our website in the Project Reality Help Forum, so that this thread is not completely overrun. It will be easier to give you needed information to access our Mumble and Server.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask, I will try to respond a soon as I can.

Just an update, if anyone needs a one on one let us know. So far the training server has helped quite a few people. We will keep it up and running 24/7 to be used.

This is a very good idea, but i think that the people on the forums don't need the training, its the new guys on the servers that need it

Your right, probably 80% on here don't Casino. But for the few new PR Gamers the happen to be on these forums and looking for training or help, will find this post and get the help they need. Also if you want to, when you run into the on the servers, let them know we are here to help.

Hey guys, I'm about to start training a friend of mine who's never played PR or even BF2 before. He's not massively familiar with FPSs either but he's a hardy flight sim guy so wants to get into the flying side of things.

Plus, I've hardly ever done any chopper stuff cos I don't get much chance to practice in a real game and if I did I'd be worried about getting spammed when I inevitably crash it... so I'm going to get some practice in as a chopper gunner.

Point is, if any of you guys are around we'd really appreciate any advice, or maybe some adversary training/commander guidance onto target etc. We're usually playing after 9pm GMT.

As a frequent player, I recommend the =DAM= server. I have always has a good time there, which is more than I can say about other servers that have been 'recommended' here.

The so-called 'great servers' (I will not mention server names here) are run by patronizing admins with nazi-like dictatorship administration, in my experience :d rillserg

Yea, DaM's a great server, with great admins, and great players. They are always welcome to new players, and they all have VoiP, and encourage teamplay.

Hello everyone, im brand new to PR, i have played BF2 Vanilla for a while now but i wanted a more team-oriented game to play, and i sure have found it! But back on topic, i was wondering if you guys still offered this training? I tried joining a pub but was instantly flamed for not knowing what to do.

Sure, we are in the process of rebuilding our clan at this time, but here is a handful of us around, I see you registered on our website.

Come hang out with us in the evenings and we will show you the ropes, some nights we get on our server and some nights the CIA clan server, they are a good bunch of folks who will help you out as well.

Anything you need in regards to individual/squad/team tactics and training, we can help you out with.

Right now in a state of restructuring ourselves due to the rather large influx of new recruits.
So things are rather hectic right now. Also we are sending out squads to start either pubbing or independently scrimming versus other clan (6vs6, 12v12etc)

You can hop along and try it with us-no obligations, no attempt at recruiting etc.

Also would like to say if the =DAM= Clan needs any company on your servers, we would happily bring some beer and chips just don't mind if you see most if not all of one team wears the ]CIA[ tag

Oh, and I would like to contact any =DAM= Leader(s) if they would like to join us on some practice runs. Map will be Operation Barracuda, should be this weekend.

HI there i have been playing PR for about 4 months. I am looking for some training for infantry. I have played on a few servers and the team work it self is not to bad. But im looking for a little more from PR stuff like formations real good team work better communication stuff like that. So if =DAM= could get me some training on that stuff that would be great.

kudos on the great shooting from you guys.
right now we are still testing the idea of assigning squads/platoons and such so it was a bit of a mix up of new players/old players combo.

But alas, we will have more rounds to come

Well try to remember when we shut the =DaM= down last month most of them became =UMA= guys, already trained. They all went running over, and that's great, I'm glad they had somewhere to go, however one of their guys keeps sending me emails about their website and clan, you need to stop that I'm not interested in acting like that, however, they did embarrass themselves by stating that you guys are members of our Newly formed Core, and that we sent you over to take them on.

CIA, you are certainly welcome to join the Core, you need to get involved with some mature people. I'm still looking for that post =UMA= claims they put on our website, can't find it, but never the less we have played you guys before, your good and I know what you can do, and I know what the Ex =Dam= guys can do.

Everyone else can just take a look at this thread and decide for themselves who you want to associate with.

The =DaM= is not a clan anymore, we are a Coalition of several clans. When you register on our forums you don't have to worry about us trying to contact your clan members and luring them away like we did, we are not recruiting members for any of the clans, we are recruiting Clans for the Core. We are looking for 10 professional.

You will get your own 30 slot channel on our mumble server, exclusive use of the Core Pr servers, if you need a small one your selves we might be willing to do that and comradery, not bragging and frustration, but friendship.

It's not about the size of your clan, or how many matches you win, it's about how you conduct yourself in public. PR sets the standard in most cases for the gaming industry. They should rename it Professional Reality
