Bigger ticketloss when an officer dies

Post by arjan »

I suggest killing an enemy officer will get their tickets lowerd with 4 tickets instead of 1.
Becouse killing an officer should be more damaging than a squadmember.

That was my small suggestion ;-)

yes, very good idea, maybe it will force some squadleaders to give the order to fall back more often rather than just dying.

+1 It really sounds very realistic. Loosing a soldier is not as much as loosing an officer.

Should be more rewarding to kill a officer than a truck.

Where's the realsim in that? Tickets? Do you know what the tickets in game represent?

If you kill an Officer, it does damage the squad you're attacking more than killing a grunt. There's no need to penalise them with a greater ticket loss too. If you've lost your SL, you've just lost the most valiable tool to your squad. We don't need extra ticket loss to help us realise this.

There are decent arguments for and against this, i'd say if it is not implemented, we should reduce the insurgent cell leaders intel to the same as a regular insurgent. Things like this should be consistent, even across different game modes.

Just because it's a resuggestion doesn't mean it shouldn't be talked about again anyway. How recent was the last discussion? What was gameplay like then?

Bring this to the General Discussion in a non-suggestion form so that we can continue talking about it.

Because it's a resuggestion, any discussion on it should be relegated to the previous thread instead of making new ones.

I believe a larger ticket loss would be appropriate.

YES. Hate to see officers as the spearhead of combat, doing the all the dirty work. Send the grunts in first.

This is all nice but this can lead o abuse/sideeffects, what if i picked up an officer kit and someone is already squadleader? If this is going to work it should be based on the player's position in the squad as opposed to their kit.
