PR game volume reduced after MUMBLE install??

ive followed the installation guide for mumble and used it last night for the first time, so far its great except for a big problem, the volume for PR has reduced to a level where i can hardly hear anything!, all sound effects are sooo quiet including PR VOIP, but mumble volume is perfect!!!
when u start PR and the black sand banner comes up and the intro music comes on its soo quiet you can hardly hear it. it used to be so loud it made you jump
the PR audio options are all set to max
ive rechecked the mumble install guide and am lost, dunno what to do next except a complete re-installation

are you on full volume on ur system?

try setting ur bindings so that you can decrease/increase ur mumble volume, set ur BF2 effects etc volume to max and try and then try and balance ur system volume with mumble volume using the +/- volume. i.e. turn mumble down using the keybind and turn ur system up until its how you want.

I guess anyway.

thanks rudd for suggestions, am on full volume, other games the volume is fine, just PR, thats as quiet as a mouse, settings in PR are maxed out but still very low sound

Try turning PR volume to 50%.

have reinstalled bf2, patched it to 1.41, installed pr core and levels, reinstalled mumble and no sound, yes NO sound from PR, have tried PR @ 50% and other different settings but still no sound from PR, cannot hear a thing from start, when the black sand studio logo comes up, nothing!!!
have just tried GTA4 and sound works a treat? from windows desktop i can play sounds and hear them normally but not a thing comes out of my speakers or headphones, (yes ive tried them both) when i start PR?
has this happened to anyone else????
even uninstalling mumble doesnt do anything to PR sound wtf is going on???? am baffled

ive uninstalled mumble and still no sound from PR or BF2v,

my system is vista 32bit, intel quad core 8200, 4 gb ram, gforce 9600gt

Yes it only happened to me after I installed Mumble, but not right away, only a few days later. Also have vista 64bit 4gb ram gforce 9400

then i think it can only be mumble that has altered PR and BF2v sound settings,
are there any PR or MUMBLE DEV's that can throw some light onto this!
if we have the same problem then there has to be more people out there with it, or will be
if anybody has same problem then please quote your system specs
i need my fix from this amazing game

if ur running vista, what volume is BF2 set at in the volume mixer?

to get to the volme mixer, right click ur volme toolbar icon

I had the same problem so I'm gonna reply right now before you come back saying that it didn't solve your problem (well, it did temporarily)

In mumble's setting, on the audio output tab, set the "other applications" to 100% or it will go back down sometimes in your volume mixer.

The proof is that if you leave it to 50%, are on a server and have spawned in bf2/PR, alt-tab out and open your mixer, you'll see the bf2 volume going down when you're speaking.
