A 7.62 less deadly than a knife isn´t quite right, we aren´t playing airsoft here.

Almost 95%... impressive. And those are probably only the "old" and experienced players voting and caring. Indeed, the average vanilla noob is probably neither reading nor contributing to the forums in an active way, and they also wouldn't be in favor of dying even more often in-game.

Please DEVS, you've heard the message. We are not here to complain or ***** about this wonderful Mod, but one major issue needs to be fixed in order to change the game experience a lot. Plus, it would be more realistic than now ... I can't see project:revive anymore. We need a hotfix :)

What an airsoft do you mean? The most often technique of hand-to-hand fight with a knife for hidden elimination is cutting of carotid artery. Is that less deadly than 7.62? That's quite doubtful.

What I am trying to get at is 7.62 round or knife, either way that person is not fighting for a while. 7.62 will do quite a bit of damage...

Even if you survived a head shot , I bet no epipen would get you back to the fight. And if you think that helmets can save you from direct hit, think again. That only happens in movies.

nothing more to say.

Ony Yes is the right answer... Was in a Snipeing Sq on Muttrah.

Its so boring now, drop the guy and stay 3 min on a "dead" target only to check if a medic comes...

From ca. 20 Droped guys, only 3 count as a kill, that cant be!

And after beeing recived, let the black view stay so long since full healed...

To shoot a guy, only to see a medic jump on him, get him back in 1 sec and both run away isn´t realistic in any way! With or without hs...

Should head shot kill = YES.

Its wery frustrating when you shoot 3 guys in the corner of the house..... then comes g*d damn medic with "jeesus pen" and starts the vanilla medic style " dive, prone, jump etc. .. " then you cant hit him, AND IF you can hit him.... there is alllways some other guy who takes the medic kit and starts the same sh*t again... ((bit off topic, but, there is the epipen part =) ))

well well... in my opinion.... devs should just loose the "jeesus pen" (epipen).... OR reduce ammount of it, to 3 ? insteade of 8 ?.

I don't see where all this frustration comes from "omg i 1337ed a headshot at 500+ meters but he got revived, oh noes!".

Usually when my squad engage another squad we try to fire & manuever so that if they don't run away they will be eliminated. Of course our squad also have a chance of getting annihilated depending on how the situation works out. I don't see any problems with how it is now.

How about the fact that it's utterly unrealistic, realism being one of the concepts the MOD is based upon ?

Then why not put the player in a wounded state after taking a bullet?

That's more than enough of a reason, I concur. I vote "YES" on this.

Far less of a reason to keep your head down when an epipen can fix a .50cal bullet to the noggin.

I meant wounded as in lying on the ground being "wounded"

I know the engine prohibit realistic damage, but one shot kill in the head and three shot (5.56) to the body to even get a target down seems abit off to me.

I would love to see non headshot hit = wounded, headsot = dead though.

Well you still have to maintain a certain balance between gameplay / realism. So far, this is not bad at all, except of course for the revive system / non lethal headshots

That's exactly what I'm saying a decent balance would be nonheadshot "wounded", headshot "dead" or 2-3 shot in the body to get the guy down or one to the head to get him down.

Stressing the headshot is not a good idea in my opinion, even though it's realistic, so is the fact that if you get shot in any part of your body, you will most likely go down.
