I tried everything to solve the problem with pr crashing to desktop (bf2. exe, change solutions, create a Folder /Fonts/800 and extract files into it)...guess what...nothing worked. Actually it worked once but never since. I give up...too bad I really liked that mod.

does it matter if its in the folder /program files(x86) and not the /program files folder, mines in the x86 folder i dont see why this would really matter but its just a thought.

Whats wrong with it? ;[
you need to make a new profile for PR, I had the same problem. And even though I run Windows Vista, I don't think that it is the problem (for once).

@redlobster
i have exactly the same issue!

[*]WARNING! You must run Project Reality by running PR.exe, not BF2.exe.
Press ALT+F4 and update your shortcuts!
just installed pr 0856 core+levels on Vista64.
and there is no pr.exe

the target of the shortcut created by the installer is

Code: Select all

"E:\Action\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1
now the problem i have is that even though the levels are all corretly inside mods/pr/levels, i can not select any when trying to start a local server.....
the menu is plain empty. :? :

BF2 and other mods are working like a charm.[/indent]

Hey

I have installed both 0.85 Core and levels, i then extracted both. Following that i opened the Core file, double clicked the bf2.pr_core.0.85 app, this was followed quickly by a message asking me if i wanted to run the file, obviously i clicked run; however; 20 minutes later nothing has popped up regarding installation.

Any ideas?

Regards
Halitha

P.S Never mind, a restart of my PC has fixed this. Thanks anyway.

Same here. I CTD after a map has fully loaded but before being able to join. Is there any way to create a PR.exe or something like that?

i'm experiencing a very, very sluggish performance of PR on Vista when I set up textures and filtering on 'high'. What's the problem?
