[Help] 1/4 of colormap suddently turned black
As topic says, quite weird. Last night I removed some brushed texture layers, from a small area that I had been testing textures on. And everything else looked fine, also the colormap. Today when I open the map, 1/4 of the map is pitch black. And its not me not using the correct render method. - I tried overwriting the colormap with the dx files from my tpaint colormap, didnt correct it neither. - any ideas?

Looks like that grid square of your map. Either is missing ( not sure if that would load) or it went corrupt and overwrote it to black. If you still have your original colormap files from TPaint you could replace that one grid once you figure out which on it is.

Yeah looks like a corrupt file. People you really REALLY need to be backing up daily. The change of you files being corrupt are big. I do a back up every night to a different file time stamped. I have them backed up to two days. ( two files).

Suppose I should have... I still have the colormaps, but it doesnt work replacing them as ive stated already(ofcourse i did backup before messing around with this though.. )
"only" put a good 20-30 hours into it, so guess its back to ground zero - when I have regained my motivation

You should not have to start from scratch. You could run TPaint on the image file again and then just replace the corrupt grid.

ye, like everyone says, most likly corrupt, revert back to a backup (if you have one). Most likly happened if you where saving up your colourmap and something happened while saving, either your computer restarted 1/2 way thought, or your PC ran out of memory or something.
Be sure to make lots of backups of your maps.
