cause we can't make a half mouse click be semi and a full mouse click be auto.... not gonna work... :P
There are two options that I can think of. The first one is just having an automatic firemode which will force players to lightly tap their mouses to shoot single shots. The other option is having both single shot and automatic but no sound or animation for changing between the two.

yeah the marksman rifle should be Styer AUG LSW as its known, with bipod, longer barrel and ACOG scope, similar to what the L86A2 LSW is to the standard L85A2 btw anyone considered the AICW? google it and hava look

Does the Australian Army even use the F88 LSW? If so, who is issued it?
No one is yet issued with the AICW, and likely won't be for quite a while.

If I may be so bold, I suggest that the ADF faction doesn't have a Marksman class, but instead has a Signaller class who could function like a cross between a Spec Operator and a Rifleman, using a piece of equipment to allow the universal reporting of enemy assets, and some limited target designation (for area attacks and maybe even airstrikes from Tigers and Hornets).

Not having Signallers in an ADF faction just seems... Odd given their incredible importance in ADF doctrine, and the apparent absence of specially Designated Marksmen....

I'm not sure exactly what a signaller is, but I'm assuming that it's a soldier dedicated to radio communications. Would it be possible to separate the SL's ability to lay rallies from their ability to talk w/ the CO?

A signaller is basically the radio man, but in the ADF information is passed on more readily to individual soldiers, and being a signaller actually entails a whole different set of training as well as being a member of a different regiment. Signallers work very closely with fire support assets as well as the platoon they are attached to.

I'm uncertain if this has been asked in another topic but what kit might receive the M4 now that the spec-ops class has been removed?

Assuming the M4 is used by regular units in the ADF.

No kit now unless the decision is made to make an SASR or commando faction.

So far as I know all regular army troops are issued F-88s or variants thereof. M4s are used exclusively by special forces.

Likely to receive a F88C or F88C-A1 (carbine version of the F88 with or without a rail respectively). This is all assuming we can get someone to import these assets in-game.

im just sad that theres no sasr/cdo element now =(
one question though, most of our deployed troops in afghanistan are special forces (sasr/4rar/2cdo), ingame, are you fellows just implementing the regular army? that is if theres afghan based maps (thought i saw one being made)

cheers
