We moved out as soon as everyone was kitted out, first moving to the market, where we met very little resistance. maybe only one or two Ins with an AK, nothing two squads of marines couldn't handle, at least.
After Market capped, we continued on to an apartment complex by moving NE up a side road and coming back around the block. Here, we were met by a fierce enemy, throwing on all the firepower they had onto us. As we sustained a number of casualties, an M249 finally made it to the front and laid down covering fire as I knocked down groups of them with my M203.
Whie closing in on the apartments, an RPK opened up on us from a two-story building around the corner, my squad stayed behind as the others capped the apartments to take out that MG. We fired off our M16s, M249s and even an AT-4 to take him out as he killed my men, until finally a lucky shot found his head. My medic frantically tried to treat the wounded, including myself, but wasn't able to revive our SAW gunner in time.
Nevertheless, we moved on; this time to a block further north in the suburbs of Fallujah. We ran into a number of Ins on the way, but sustained little casualties. 2nd squad was the first to reach the suburbs and proceeded to cap it as my squad provided security.
As suburbs finished capping, the Ins began to mount a mass RPG attack, coming in hordes of thrww or four, firing rockets right over our heads and into the buildings behind us. They weren't in our sights so all we could do was take cover, hoping the next round wouldn't find us. When they finally came in range, a firefight ensued. Through a tight alley, our two squads were pitted against what must've been at least 10 Ins with rocket launcher and AKs. From our covered positions, however, it was more like a turkey shoot than anything.
When the area was finally cleared of hostiles, we, once again, headed north to an abandoned parking structure, just one block away from our main objective, the Mosque where we believed the insurgents were using as a resupply.
Just as we began to move, a squad-sized force of Ins ambushed us around a corner, instantly killing two from 2nd squad. As I moved to cover to return fire, I felt the pain of two 7.62x39 rounds strike my body as I fell to the ground.
Without hesitation, my medic ran over to revive me while under enemy fire. As I got up, I raised my weapon and threw rounds back at the enemy while he finished patching up my wounds and ran off to another wounded marine. Less than a block away, more insurgents set another ambush from a building, firing their RPK down on us from the second floor, which we dealt with without a problem. It was clear they were intensifying their attacks on us.
Finally at the parking lot, we set up a defensive perimeter once again, as AKs popped off in the distance. Occasionally an insurgent would fire on us, but would get wasted in a matter of seconds.
And now we moved to the mosque. A place of both religious and tactical power, the Ins weren't going to give up without a fight. I set a rally point as our fall back position, jsut in case, reloaded my weapon, and moved out with the rest of the guys. We moved into the adjacent alleyway and immediately took fire from both sides as we--
Then, I CTDed.
The end
However, this proved that with as little as 20 players, one can have an amazing time in PRSP.
