People die from RPG fire! And new Color on Civi!

People die from RPG fire! And new Color on Civi!

Is it even possible to make people die instantly when hit by RPG or whatever LAT weapon. Dont you agree with me that you should die from a hit. Looks pretty vanilla when medic comes and fix you up and you run away dandy and happy.

And Civis should have another color on the shirt, if you running low graphs you cant tell the difference.

Oh and is there any way you can make so you can tell if you have single or burst on.

I dont really have or care to pick on anything on PR now since the latest release, it really kicks *** now. Thnx for the good gameplay !

first off i aggree with rpg most people cant take a direct hit from an rpg and survive,

The civis should have different colored shirts.

Yes there is a way to tell if you are on burst or single, shoot to find out =]

there is a way to find out...

Look down by your ammo count.. See, there is 2 numbers/letters

The big number is your Magazines

The smaller number/letter is your shot count thing...

A = Auto
3 = Burst
1 = Single

=) It's right there...

If it was possible (highly doubt, cause this wouldve been how machine guns shouldve been done with tripods and such), what would be cool, is if you use the mouse wheel to choose weapon, you could left click for burst and right click for burst, and they'd set it when they got the weapon ready. =) Making it so i dont pull out a gun trying to protect myself and it's on single when i think it's burst, or burst when i need it single... =) MWHAHA!

Well in Al Basrah other day, my squad got hit by an rpg that went through a hole in the wall and took out most my squad so i think it is effective enough all ready.

He's saying if you take a direct hit, IE the RPG whacks you in the stomach. That'd blow you up pretty good.

Reviving someone who was hit by an RPG is not much more unrealistic than reviving someone who got a bullet in the head/heart/lug/spine/whatever.

Civilians are supposed to look like insurgents to simulate the difficulties of confirming your target that exist in reality too.

LithiumFox answered the fire mode question. Shooting to find out is not a valid option of course, as it gives away your position and is a waste of ammo.

I don't agree that civies should have differently colored shirts. That would kill the whole point with civilians. They are there so that Coalition players should think before shooting on random guys crossing the street.
IRL it can be hard to tell the difference between the carzyheads out to kill you and the average Joe who just want to stay out of trouble. The thing you are experiencing in PR when you can't tell the difference between enemy and civilian is the same thing soldiers on the frontline are experiencing in similar situations. That's how it should be. That's realism for you. :wink:

If every civi would run around with a green shirt or whatever it wouldn't be as immersive and it wouldn't fell like you're actually in a hostile city where everyone could be an enemy.

But about that civi-spawntime... :wink:

the warhead is not a heat shell if it hit the person yes should wound them to the point a medic needs to revive but shouldn't totally kill you as a shot to the head dose not kill nor dose a 30m round to the chest.

A shot to the head most certainly would kill you outright. And if by '30m round' you meant a 30 mm, then getting shot by one those in the chest would kill you as well.

And being hit by an RPG would rip you in half, never mind 'should wound them to the point a medic needs to revive' ! If nothing else because of the sheer size of it!

The RPG should kill, we know that.. Grenades too..

But civilians stay like they are, they're meant for insurgents to blend with them, and make you check your fire like real soldiers do IRL.

What kills you these days?

It seems I'll just sometimes die in random situations, such as in the middle of a desert.

The civi used to have a green shirt and I think that it is better how it is now.

I must admit alot of things seem to randomly kill you, like was going down a hill that really wasn't steep and ive had to climb and go down in real life while carrying a weapon and webbing easily, but in PR ive started bleeding.

Great replies. Now I know the whole color civi thing. But still, you should die from an RPG, but I guess its doesnt really work in this engine to code something like that.

And thanks for the Burst/single fire, never noticed that before, could be because I have my screen settings to far low so i cant see them.
