What do you all think of my map? what do u like or dislike about it and how could it be improved?

I like it a lot - apart from that damn sign!!

People do complain of crashes though!

had a CTS on spawn on GHZ, no idea if the server crashed .... but gotta sort that out.

It *badly* needs AH6s then I think it would be near perfect.

I hate the Gas station point, it ruins the map. No one barely gets past this part. I have seen it done once. Just take out that spawn and make it go straight to the park. I love the look of it and almost everything about except that one part.

I lvoe the billboard. EJOD is innovative! Ummm, the fighting rarly gets to the fun part of town, it always stays by the docks, which gets old. No vehicles is part of the reason IMO.

AH6s should help the situation wrt the US getting a good foothold.

I'd leave it as is in terms of adding an APC, Let's see if we can't make use of paradropped vehicles after 1.3 to make a difference.

not a bad idea. But ive seen afew times the USMC go right back and push MEC off the map.

AH6 is a might would really have to look on testing. The bit i fear about it is that every one will TK for it and then hog it...

about the car air drops, i hope we will be able to disable this from some maps or we will just see 50.cals sitting on the sea wall laying into choppers as they fly in... :roll:

hmm, i think the problem is the area between the docks and gas station. to be honest, me and my friends have NO problem taking the gas station. YOU CANT DO IT BY FOOT 60% of the time! Get a brave pilot in a little bird, zip in behind the gas station or on top of the room, spread out hide behind those canisters its incredibly easy, it just takes some teamwork and some thinking!

i love this map, you have heard me say this a million times rhino, but for this thread ill say it again. i like it because it forces teamwork on the US side.

I dont like the lighting... the shadows are to dark. But this was brought up before.

I agree. I hope they let this be disabled on a map by map basis or at least allow more control over it than they do with other commander assets (aka little to none).

ok ill put tanks in it then :mrgreen:

Ill have 1 tank spawn point, that will spawn 20 tanks, 5 specs apart in the docks only for USMC? also take the AT kit off the map, that sound good :mrgreen:

Yeah, having the docks as an uncappable base would be better because if it had a tank the mec would be even more unstopple if they happend to cap the docks.

Also add mounted machine guns at the docks to prevent spawncamping and maximize the docks defence and also have an apc instead of a tank because it would be more realistic because tanks can't drive across the ocean. To balance it out so then the USMC does not rule the map give the MEC an apc too. :-D

I don't think you need to add any more helos/apcs etc than you've got already- the blackhawk does enough damage if it's being used properly. Things you could experiment with (maybe on a private server) are reversing the flag order, so you go from west to east (where the flags are closer together, & might help pick up momentum. Or maybe even north to south, starting at that village thing or the construction site... Also adding a couple of cars/pickups (tweaked versions of the half-done bf2 stuff) with no mounted weapons for shifting squads about the map quickly would be good to see. They'd make good use of your nice road system :)

I double that...Considering that its broad daylight, the shadows are deep as night.

And then it would be nice with something to hide behind on route to the Gas Station or Park, depending on the size of the map.

Its not worth me redoing all the lightmaps again to fix this. Really it aint. My PC only just mannaged it last time and it took 3 days to do....
