Id do it on ramiel as ramiel has more of a insurgent feel, and you don't have to edit the map that much, just add a cobra. other then that you got a rather ordinary plot, but it is solid.

You could have the back up come in with a stryker/blackhawk, and have them die, show that "america doesn't always win."

First off that sound clip from bf2 is awsome haha, more importantly though i made a few films back like 4 or 5 years ago one on desert combat and the other in forgotten hope:

Saints and Soldiers - Desert Combat one, and my first attempt at a machinima film

Saints and Soldiers 2 - The one in Forgotten Hope 1

Suprized actually SaS 2 had like 1000 more downloads than the first one, personally i like the first one better, more skill was involved when we were filming...however more skill was involved for me editing the second.

Watch and let me know what you think

Anyway if i were to give you a great idea that someone hasnt done before i would simply go into a normal full game turn off your hud and be a squad member or leader and film....edit after, ive wanted to do this in PR for sometime (and i probably will for fun) because of how gigantic it is, some of the dialog that comes from people just playing is actually really good to because PR is so intense sometimes.

I would recommend an ambush scene in Korengal.

STORY.

2 HUMMERS ( :D ) and a supply truck moving out of the Camp Murhpy(???). Take some shoots with the convoy rolling out and Taliban preparing (setting IED's, placing RPG gunners etc.). Convoy rolling out! BAM. Explosion, 1st hummer down, AK47/PKM/AK74/AKS-74U firing from the distance, .50 Cal engaging a house, RPG hitting the HUMMER. Everyong gets out, M4 blazing, AT4 hitting a compound. Talibans from the mountains engaging convoy with RPG's. View behind the .50 cal gunner, who engages the talibans at mountains! Then show the convoy from the above, camera flies up in the sky, flies towards the compound with the Talis (AK47/RPG still firing). Camera goes up in the sky, showing the battlefield. Black screen, AK47/M4 still firing, some guy tells something melodramatic etc. :D

P.S. I recommend taking shoots behind Talibans when their shooting RPG's, firing aswell as from the american perspective.

All is quiet on the western front....

Marine 2: Blue on blue they said. Said the shooter was never found. Nothing of course to do with that suicide in the 4th. Nothing at all.

Marine 1: Look j, that whole thing was a fuckin disaster. We were rollin in, all 10-4-

cut to convoy on op. Archer, rolling out from US base

Marine 2: Our convoy hit an ambush

Ambush convoy, first truck is hit by IED, humvee hit with RPG. Chaos, AKs and M16 like mad. The following lines are VO'd

Marine 2: My brother was in the humvee behind the RPG'd one. they dived out of the vehicle, while the little bird came in to help, dropped a squad off, the 4th, they had a good view of our position. Apparently the taleban were right on top of us.....from a distance, we all kinda look the same, 'specially since they stole some of our kit.....

Etc Etc.

I realize some of the semantics are off but its easily fixed.

I did a Desert Combat movie too, back then... with a very special ending. Maybe you've heard of it, it's called "Hunter hunted" !

US "SF" squad of 4-6 is dropped/arrives with boat on op barracuda and has to get past the airfield, secure it, kill al the guards, get some files or something... and then work their way up to the silo (engagements here and there), then they have to demolish the **** outta the silo. Then they have to return to the airfield for evac... and there is this epic shot when all of them are walking towards the camera and one of them gets shot in the back...and they cannot revive him...add some sad music (not epic, but sad) and zoom out in the darkness (vertically above the body)

Lol, that was my idea, but im too lazy to make a movie...feel free to use any of that content if you run out of imagination :P

Generation kill, into PR, make it like 2 episodes, 1 on Fallujah west and 1 on archer or ramiel

Have a convoy of stuff, and WE even have civies in game, so captain america can go around killing civies like he did in the series.

speaking of films if any dev see's this and wants me to make a vid for them i will be more than happy to do one for the PR team for anything, let it be an intro film or a trailer for a new release or just for the hell of it....i always loved making machinima films


edit: nice paradox good film, personally love the chess scene haha that was classic

they were already in here paradox just a little ways down haha
PS. every bit of sound is all edited in my movie editor and a couple clips in a sound editor, my fraps did not record sound back then.....as u can guess it took at least a month on both movies to edit sound alone

I gotta say really nice job with the GTAIV machinama, I really liked it. You could do the same idea, but with a soldier in Iraq, thinking about all the civilians/insurgents he killed.
