Exterior Views
How do I get exterior views in the Jets and choppers??? I know Some people hate exterior views so why can't there be an option in the game or a change of controls for the views?

Maybe it's because we're playing Project Reality.

Re: Exterior Views
Exterior view allows you to observe more than the interior view.. I cannot make my eyes pop out of my head and follow behind me, perhaps you can. The Harrier is not implemented in game yet, only in Training Mode.vince123 wrote:Thanks...If people want Reality why don't they hit the button to stay in the cockpit. 2nd The harrier has exterior views thankfully so why not everything else?

Re: Exterior Views
The harrier is not in the game yet, It's only on training servers. Second they took it out for a reason cuzz its unrealistic you can still press f11 and look behind you but that's it. If its too much hassle and you really can't fly without it just don't fly.

Re: Exterior Views
The only view which is useful is the rear view and you get that already. having other views will just get you killed pretty quick
And the harrier isnt in game yet, only on training, the view will proberly be taken out when it gets put in a map

Re: Exterior Views
I just checked again ONLY FRONT FACING BACK works not back facing forward. Back facing forward is what I'm wondering about.nick20404 wrote:Actually f10 is the front view in VBF2 f11 is the rear view.

Hit "C"
*EDIT you want to have the camera at the back of the plane facing forward?
If so that has been taken out.

The reality element isn't a choice man. If it were I'd take the portable minigun class with the ceramic bomb disarmament armour every timevince123 wrote:Thanks...If people want Reality why don't they hit the button to stay in the cockpit. 2nd The harrier has exterior views thankfully so why not everything else?

Anyway once you get used to it flying from the cockpit is much more accurate anyway, there are plenty of views to help you with your situational awareness, get some shortcuts setup and get used to using them.

C and F are the keys used to switch views in Trucks, Planes and Helicopters.

Re: Exterior Views
Having presets for each one is better when you get used to it, having presets for weapons is essential though for jets, since the switch weapon keys also go through a couple of the views too. Speaking of which why the hell I'm I not using the hat on my joystick yet... probably cos I've only flown in a proper game twice or something.

If you want to see what is going on beneath you just flip your bird over and use the free look button to look up towards the ground.

Re: Exterior Views
Exterior views make sense in some cases in PR.
Already, Supply and transport trucks have a rear view look upon pressing C.
A step further in my eyes would be that a backwards looking view from the wing-mirriors of vehicles, such as Hummers and rovers, be accessable when pressing C.
This would allow you to actually see behind you to a similar extent that is available in RL.

Re: Exterior Views
Out of curiosity, why do you want to have the forward facing outside view, there is no hud, you can´t aim, you can´t even see where you are going properly?
